No posts have been overrun. All attacks have been repulsed so far. UCAVs in air.

Twelve terrorists killed as armed forces repel border attack in Chitral: ISPR​

At least 12 militants were killed when the Pakistani military repelled a major terrorist attack on two border posts in the Chitral district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Wednesday, the military's media wing said.

"The brave soldiers fought bravely and repulsed the attacks inflicting heavy casualties on the terrorists," the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.

According to the statement, the clash started after a large group of terrorists equipped with the latest weapons attacked two Pakistani military posts closer to the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

In the statement, it was noted that "terrorists' movement and concentration in Gawardesh, Pitigal, Barg-e-Matel, and Batash areas of Nuristan and Kunar provinces of Afghanistan had already been picked up," and that "they were timely shared with the interim Afghan government."

The military posts were already on high alert because of a heightened risk environment, according to the press statement.

However, during the fierce firefight, four brave soldiers who had fought valiantly embraced Shahadat, the statement added.

The statement said that "the area is being sanitised to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area."

The press release stated that the Pakistani security forces are committed to ending the threat of terrorism, and that such "sacrifices made by our brave soldiers only serve to reinforce our resolve."

It further stated that the valiant residents of Chitral staunchly support the security forces and are resolute to prevent the terrorists from destroying the region's tranquillity.

The statement emphasised that the interim Afghan government must uphold its commitments and prevent terrorists from using Afghan territory to carry out attacks against Pakistan.

The development comes a week after nine soldiers were martyred while five others were injured in a suicide attack at a military convoy in the Jani Khel general area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Bannu district.

America the current supper power and the country with unlimited budget and access to cutting edge technology has difficulty stopping drug/human smuggling at their border with Mexico. They are working with governments across South America to stop human smuggling at the source. Same goes for drug smugglers and it's a losing war which DEA admits.

So the question every sane person should be asking- what chance does Pakistan Military has in stoping TTP infiltration? Our enemy is bleeding us and we have no strategy. On top, majority of Pakistanis don't support army anymore and the number is rising in the most populous province. One or two major attack and we will have to allocate more personal on the western border which will require more resources. I am no military expert but lack of common sense is infuriating. Someone (hopefully the majority) in the institution should grow a backbone and raise the alarm. Unless the plan is to deteriorate the situation so Asim Munir can claim special powers for "security reasons" this new uprising will have a detrimental affect on Pakistan leftover economy. These guys are hoping this issue will go away if they just ignore it and are fixated on ruling Pakistan.

This situation is due to Democrats, not due to lack of capability.

Recall the noise when Trump wanted to build the wall? Multiple companies submitted their proposals. Funnily even a Mexican giant submitted its proposal.

What is stopping Pakistan army to conduct drone strikes against targets inside Afghanistan?

When its clear as daylight that Taliban are assisting TTP, why is there no message being sent?

There are options. From direct strikes on TTP’s interests to suspension of Afghan transit trade to completely suspending border movement.

Or are there other interests at play at the expense of Pakistan’s.

You only embolden them when you lose the capacity to reply.

Curious that why the troops didn't get dropped either on the posts or mountain tops (nearer to the area) rather than in the valley and then being transported on local vehicles.

Look man, we all hate India, right

Even though their shouldn't be, their is wide scale hatred of hindus in Pakistan, right.

On a day to day, year to year basis their is incredible hostile toxic exchanges between Pakistani and indians and Muslims and hindus

And hindutva poison is spreading in India and Indian Muslims themselves are waking up





The problem is afghans are no less hostile to Pakistan and Pakistani then ANY HINDUTVA


Afghans have never done anything for Pakistani, I remember pre 1947 Afghanistan even rejecting Muslim refugees from India

We've taken in millions of Afghans
We put our own security on the line to help the afghans against Soviet and other enemies
We've funneled weapons, money, provides space


The list goes on and all we get from the afghans is hate





Let's start asking the real question, what the fcuk have the afghans EVER DONE FOR US



Now the afghans more then ever should be willing to work with neighbors to make Afghanistan better, and what do we have?

We could make life easy, the border open for locals and afghans
Trade to go to and fro
Use of Pakistani ports

Their is immense resources and minerals to start building our countries



But even after the Soviets and Americans have run and left


The afghans are STILL INTENT ON DESHATGARDI
