Trump to decide within next 24-48 hours whether to take military action against Syria

Ohhhh sufferer will only be the civilians and innocent . Thats really sad

.
It is really is quite strange.

1) The SAA was/is doing quite well in Eastern Ghouta conventionally.

2) Trump hints at disengagement from Syria.

3) SAA is about to shift focus towards their borders with the zionist state.

BUT...all of a sudden, a chemical attack. Like seriously? Y3ni it would have been believable if the SAA was losing ground, material and manpower. It would have made sense if the SAA was losing on the political front. It makes no sense whatsoever for the SAA to conduct a chemical attack at this particular stage.

You have to understand that ASSad do not see the world as a political chess game... but by Military gains/losses...
Using Chlorine is like using X Barrel bomb... those attacks have a strategic impact on the ground... so he's using it...

Now...Why does he use it now?
- First... those last pockets are locked... the other 2 pockets fall not by fighting but by "Surrendering" when the local rebels accepted the deal... (BTW it's been 2 months now....)
-Second... JAI wanted another deal/no deal from ASSad about that last pocket... Something ASSad didn't want... if no deal is reached...that will mean Few more "Hundreds" of Soldiers will perish (ADDED to the already almost 1K soldier dead in those past 2 months)
-Third... Discontent is rising in Damascus among Families of killed Soldiers... That's why you got a reinforcement of "Proxies" around Ghouta, like More Hezbollah and afghani ones coming from Aleppo and Deir-ez-Zor...

So... Here the conclusion of such Act...
After the Chlorine attack... JAI immediately accepted to surrender, by accepting the basic "Evacuation" deal, that was made to other pockets...

Let's say it again... ASSad is in a Bubble... Consequences has no meaning for him...none.

PS: When you analyse Someone/thing... Keep in mind to NEVER take yourself as an example of comparison, never... He is not you.

Chances of airstrikes to start today are very high!!

There is a limit to favors that Russia can extend to Assad-led regime.

If US decides 'regime change' in Syria; Russia will have to abandon this sinking ship.
Lets not blow things out of proportion, the US has been trying regime change in Syria since the civil war started, on the contrary the war started because the US wanted a regime change in Syria and it is precisely due to Russian intervention that Assad has survived uptil now. The US wont risk an open confrontation with Russia, its Russia's backyard.

WASHINGTON — President Trump on Monday denounced the suspected chemical weapons attack that killed dozens of people in Syria over the weekend as a “barbaric act,” and said he will make a decision in the next 24 to 48 hours about whether to retaliate militarily as he did to a similar assault last year.

“We’re talking about humanity and it can’t be allowed to happen,” Mr. Trump told reporters at the start of a cabinet meeting at which he suggested that a response would be forthcoming soon. “We’ll be making that decision very quickly, probably by the end of today. We cannot allow atrocities like that.”

Calling the attack “heinous” and “atrocious,” the president suggested that Syria’s patrons in Russia and Iran may also be responsible, and seemed to imply that he would take action of some sort to punish them as well.

“If it’s Russia, if it’s Syria, if it’s Iran, if it’s all of them together, we’ll figure it out and we’ll know the answers quite soon,” he said. “So we’re looking at that very strongly and very seriously.”

Asked if President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia, with whom Mr. Trump has sought to forge a friendship, bears responsibility, the president said: “He may and if he does it’s going to be very tough, very tough. Everybody’s going to pay a price. He will, everybody will.”

Every dead Syrian is on the Yanks.

Everywhere the Yanks set a foot there is guaranteed bloodshed.

US action in Syria will please two groups: people who support Israel and people who oppose Iran. Two birds with one stone.

US did not attempt 'regime change' in Syria.

That really explains why the U.S. only provided token support for the first few years - NOT...
People tend to filter away facts which does not fit their narrative.
The main supporters of the insurgency are to be found on the Arab peninsula.

@Mhmoud

Glad to see a Libyan member here. Looking forward to hear more from you.

Completely second that, 100%. And he brings respectful substance and a high level of intellect, something that is sorely lacking and unfortunately, severely degraded by the unsupressed and begrimed influence of the few, infamous gutter cockroaches.

JAI was almost ready for the deal even before the attack. Just couple of hours ago gas attack was made so that there could be no deal and immediate interference from the US. Nevertheless JAI was so close to the deal that it went ahead with it despite this drama.

And there are no signs that soldier's families have shown the discontent and all are happy in Syria that war is about to end with the Assad's victory.

Was Assad really seeking the strategic impact by killing 70 people (mostly civilians and the children)? It was easy to drop 3 bombs to kill much more people than 70 in the residential areas. As has been said previously, there were hardly any JAI member killed in the chemical bomb attack (if any). Therefore absolutely no damage done to the JAI, and they knew that afterwards whole world will be critical upon Assad and he will not get the 2nd chance for chemical bomb. Still they made the deal while they know even without any chemical attack Assad forces are going to destroy them completely as had been done in the rest of the areas lately.
