Trump to decide within next 24-48 hours whether to take military action against Syria

Reports are Russians are moving out. I don’t think they will leave the port base though.

Really!!!!!!!

Russia will shoot down US missiles fired at Syria and target launch sites, warns ambassador

US missiles fired at Syria will be shot down, and launch sites targeted, a Russian ambassador warned today.

The measures threatened by Alexander Zasypkin, Russia's ambassador to Lebanon, could trigger a major escalation in the Syrian conflict.

In comments broadcast on Tuesday evening, said he was referring to a statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Russian armed forces chief of staff.

The Russian military said on March 13 that it would respond to any U.S. strike on Syria, targeting any missiles and launchers involved in such an attack. Russia is Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's most powerful ally.

The United States and its allies are considering whether to hit Syria over a suspected poison gas attack that medical relief organisations say killed dozens of people in the rebel-held town of Douma near Damascus on Saturday.

"If there is a strike by the Americans, then...the missiles will be downed and even the sources from which the missiles were fired," Zasypkin told Hezbollah's al-Manar TV, speaking in Arabic. He also said a clash "should be ruled out and therefore we are ready to hold negotiations".

Russia and the United States blocked attempts by each other in the U.N. Security Council on Tuesday to set up international investigations into chemical weapons attacks in Syria.

JAI was almost ready for the deal even before the attack. Just couple of hours ago gas attack was made so that there could be no deal and immediate interference from the US. Nevertheless JAI was so close to the deal that it went ahead with it despite this drama.

And there are no signs that soldier's families have shown the discontent and all are happy in Syria that war is about to end with the Assad's victory.

Was Assad really seeking the strategic impact by killing 70 people (mostly civilians and the children)? It was easy to drop 3 bombs to kill much more people than 70 in the residential areas. As has been said previously, there were hardly any JAI member killed in the chemical bomb attack (if any). Therefore absolutely no damage done to the JAI, and they knew that afterwards whole world will be critical upon Assad and he will not get the 2nd chance for chemical bomb. Still they made the deal while they know even without any chemical attack Assad forces are going to destroy them completely as had been done in the rest of the areas lately.

Duma is locked... no International "investigation" or "Forces" could enter...therefore no "Physical" proof can leak out, only "Pics-Videos etc..."
And no JAI didn't accept the basic deal... They were trying to make a deal... that's why TR even got in to found a common ground...
JAI wanted A deal where "Those who want to leave to Idlib or elsewhere will be granted such wish" and "Those who wanted to stay, may stay"...Something ASSad didn't want... that's why that "Deal" for this last pocket was too long compared to the other pockets. Duma is bigger and therefore could sustain more Weeks/Months...

ASSad is pressured, Remember the little "tour" around Ghouta? Yeah that one, where he said " It's almost over- Terros are out"... Well... Reality choosed otherwise... The last deal didn't go through...

Chlorine attack was a decision to push the balance in their side... by saying "We can do it... Accept or Die"
Every Gas attack by ASSad, was mostly used before deals/At the end of a battle... for pressure.

If the battle of Duma continued... ASSad could end up with even more casualties, it's Urban warfare...

As for those thinking that the International community... Syrians out there are not dumb... they know nothing will change for them... it's not like the US declared war on ASSad... the most they could do is... "Revenge kill" and that's it...

This pics/videos are not verified and even if there was an attack, it could have been a staged drama by the opposition who also possess this gas.

The situation for JAI was hopeless.
All their foreign supporters have already backed off and they were getting no more money.
They were encircled and it was a small area which was all under the direct artillery attack of tens of thousands of the SAA soldiers.
All the tunnels were blocked and no more help was possible from outside.
Already the blockade made life difficult for the JAI. Civilians were all against the JAI. Even no one in whole Syria was ready to welcome them.

This was the only chance for them to safe their life.

Rebels has no "Chlorine gas"... and Never they staged one... Even Russian investigations, that went there NEVER SAID rebels staged this or that...

I think few things should be made clear... We are speaking of the GHOUTA AREA... not Idlib, not Daraa... EAST GHOUTA was an ENCLAVE since 2012... THEY HAD NO CONTACT WHATSOEVER WITH OTHERS... no Money, no shipment no NOTHING, the only thing that can pass is "Phones-Internet"...
So this "Theory" should stay a Theory...

Yes JAI was losing ground... Yes JAI will mostly lose the pocket BUT if no deal was made...they were willing to go to the END and therefore engage with ASSad for even more Months... That will results in Huge casualties in BOTH SIDES... ASSad want it to end quick... and that Chlorine attack did his job...

As for the theory of "Civilians against JAI"... that is... well... let's be honest... if the majority of Civilians were against JAI... they wouldn't be any JAI right now... and East Ghouta will have been under ASSad for years now...

Ps: Ghouta is one the first "ARea" to rebel against ASSad in this Revolution... They are the most "Anti-ASSad" ppl in all of Syria...
And if you ask, if some are against JAI, it's also possible, but they are a very small minority... and they differences with JAI, is not on a basis of "We like ASSad" but mostly Daily life privation.

Russians have said there was absolutely no chemical attack. Therefore, you could not quote the Russians here while they are telling 100% opposite story to you.
And indeed Rebels supporters have large stockpiles of the chemical gases and they have no shame in using it to stage the dramas.

Difference is immense since 2012 as this time there are 20 times more SAA soldiers stationed there with Russian air force and lot of experience and they showed how they could now easily and effectively kick out the terrorists in the last couple of weeks.

Difference is this that this time JAI has got no external power supporting them (who earlier provided them with all the weapons while they (i.e. JAI) are so uneducated that they could not even make a sewing needle themselves).

Every one was watching that how "every one" was making the deals in the last couple of weeks with SAA while SAA has already won the war and the domino effect already started. The morals of the rebels were the all time lowest. Neither exteral powers helping them, nor local people supporting them. Even JAI had to kill many of it's own commanders first for engaging in talks with SAA and Russia.

All the odds were against them.

Initially it was like grass is always greener from the other side. But with time people realised how evil are the Jihadies and their external masters and how they are hell bend on destroying the Syria for the sake of Israel.

No one in Syria now want these blood thirsty Jihadists and their external masters to shed more blood. Game over for all of them.

You spoke about staged "Attack"... even though Russia "said" none where there"... it was meant to put you in front of your "Theory... By using the only reliable "source" that you believe in...
AND even in the PREVIOUS RUSSIAN investigation, no stage "theory" was used... whatever they found it or not...

JAI deal wasn't made... so no need to re-jump on "hypothesis"... BOth ASSad/RU and JAI/TR said so..." NO deal reached YET"...

Those jihadis,a s you like to use..; are armed civilians from that same "ENCLAVE" they didn't get shipped from the WESt or Afghanistan... SINCE days ONE they were civilians from there... in Ghouta Almost EVERY family has at least one Member who is taking part in the armed conflict... so by your logic..."THey hate themselves"... THat is also why that enclave succeed to hold that long...

Anyway it's not like, our exchange is meant to change your mind, since, your "Mind" is already made, and it' snot like you care about facts... YOu have affinities for a side or hate for another...so as long as that same "side" is being pushed away, you will believe and support such actions...

Let's end it here... we will both lose our time, I just wanted to give more "Balanced" view in your post, nothing more nothing less.

The stage drama were the incidents which happened before, where Russia accepted the occurrence of chemical bomb, but blamed the Jihadists and their masters for the stage drama.

But this time Russians have not found even the proof of the stage drama.

Actually there exist absolutely no proofs of any attack at this moment, then what to talk about who carried out this attack. But the Jihadists, their masters and their supporters are very fast to blame Assad for it. It it not insane?

JAI deal wasn't made... so no need to re-jump on "hypothesis"... BOth ASSad/RU and JAI/TR said so..." NO deal reached YET"...

All of them confirmed they were close to a deal and indeed JAI was basically ready for the deal in order to save itself from the might of SAA. There were minor disagreements.
But Assad was doing the right thing. In whichever area initially the Jihadists denied the deal, then Assad attacked them and within few weeks the rebels themselves accepted the conditions of the Assad government.
This time too JAI knew that might of SAA is going to be lashed against them and finally they have to make a deal while they had no chance and they were extremely low on the morals to fight.

So, the only pressure tactics SAA played, it were bombardment for few days/weeks and then the rebels automatically agreed to the government's conditions.

Those jihadis,a s you like to use..; are armed civilians from that same "ENCLAVE"
And please tell us who "armed" these so called Jihadi civilians?
Here you always forget to mention the external masters of these Jihadists who armed them to the teeth.

they didn't get shipped from the WESt or Afghanistan... Several thousands of them have been shipped from all over the Muslim world, much much more than any Afghanistan. And Saudia/Turkey/UAE/Israel/US/West invested many folds more in these Jihadists than any Afghan Shia Militia.

Nobody knows how much support does these Jihadies have among the locals. Only way to find it out is elections under the UN, but Jihadists/Saudia/America are not ready for such elections under UN while Jihadists and opposition is absolutely not united and fighting and killing each other and they have absolutely no chance in the elections to win against Assad.

Yeah Yeah Yeah...
Enclaves get "Foreign fighters" and " Equipments"... from the space...
Or maybe the US can drop it freely in a blocked airspace by Russians and ASSad...
Bingo... RU is working hand in hand with the US by Arming their own enemies... CLever Putin...

But if you want to hear the reality... 100% are either looted/Captured after each battles...

. .
That really explains why the U.S. only provided token support for the first few years - NOT...
People tend to filter away facts which does not fit their narrative.
The main supporters of the insurgency are to be found on the Arab peninsula.
that is because the manpower needed for the area had to be arab, dont filter facts away man, saudi arabia is a vessel state, nothing more.

Unlike what you say Assad didn't have problems with JAI staying in Douma, all the sudden JAI left and there was no response as if they knew something.

Here's how the Russian brokered deal to evacuate involving Jaysh al Islam (JAI) went sour

Important: Here's how the Russian brokered deal to evacuate #Douma involving #SAA & Jaysh al Islam (JAI) went sour, paving the way for a widespread military operation today in the last trapped rebel enclave in East #Ghouta

1. Yesterday the Russian negotiator & Jaysh al Islam agreed on several points & a deal was made pending final confirmation which would see weapons handed over, some militants taken to #Jarablus & others to stay

2. Then when the meeting occurred (Yesterday) to formalize the arrangement’s Jaysh al-Islam withdrew from some of the agreed points & were given a time-frame to respond to

3. Jaysh al Islam changed their negotiator for the meeting replacing Abo Ammar Dalwan (Head of JAI’s political office) to Abo Qusay al-Deirani assistant to the head of JAI & security official.

4. One of the reasons for JAI’s withdrawal from the negotiations at end of the meeting was due to issues over giving over heavy weapons, preferring to only give it over till a wider political solution is made, in Syria in terms of those wanting to stay in #Douma

5. The idea was those whose wanting to stay could stay and become an auxiliary force to the #SAA fighting #Nusra & #ISIS or guarding #Douma as a local police force

6. Those who wanted to leave would be taken to #Jarablus in Aleppo which is held by Turkish backed Euphrates Shield

7. The agreement was that JAI gives over its heavy weapons only at the start of the process and the #SAA withdraws its heavy weapons from around #Douma in a de-escalation phase

8 .JAI asked the Russians If they could guarantee whether the #SAA would withdraw their heavy weapons to which the Russians replied we can guarantee that warplanes won’t be used & some heavy weapons would be withdrawn accordingly

9. Heavy weapons would be handed over to #SAA with Russian military police observing the whole process over a period of three days

10. Then over a period of 1 week, JAI handover its light and medium weapons, and the #SAA withdraws its fighting units from the area

11. Those who hand over their weapons can enter a reconciliation agreement & apply for joining the police force over a 2 week period and thus guard their area with #Russia being the guarantor

12. A fighting brigade of JAI remnants would also be created allowing those to fight alongside #SAA against extremist groups elsewhere

13. The new brigade & Police force made up of JAI remnants are given weapons and support by the Russians

14. Russian military police was meant to be present at the checkpoints and the area to guarantee all of this

15. After weapons are handed over to #SAA a committee from the Damascus C.S governorate comes into #Douma and attempts to solve all of the issues the city is suffering from – services – water ect.

16. All civilians set to return to their homes, those in #Douma facing military service would be given a temporary amnesty

17. #SAA and security forces won’t enter the city, then the pro government captives get handed back over to the #SAA through the Russians

18. Russians left meeting stating that they are awaiting a written response from JAI by 8.00 PM affirming that the handing over of weapons is compulsory for any deal to continue

19. After that the negotiations stopped and a response never came, and since the afternoon today all hell has been breaking loose in #Douma with heavy fighting and shelling, in both #Douma & #Damascus
