We will wait and see what measures the US administration will enact. Vietnam currently has solar projects 17,000 MW under way, that will reduce export pressure, as for washing machine there is an interesting stat: we are the biggest exporter to the US. Thanks to Samsung and LG shifting production to Vietnam. So there is urgent need for our people in Washington to do something to avoid a collapse.

Vietnam wont collapsed. About 40 years ago, she collapsed but now rises from the dead. Once you hit the bottom, the only way is up. This trade war is only going to hurt the US and China. Vietnam is safe with TPP and the EU. America is not the only market. The more they imposed tariffs on international products, the more expensive their domestic products are going to become making US's product harder to export to other countries. China is stuck in the middle because pretty much everyone knows China's main objective.

Yep, the US Presidents all share the same goal which is to curb China's rise, but Trump's unique method is rather counterproductive.
