For a Muslim that wants 100% control over an undivided Jerusalem, it is big news.
A country recognizing the part of Jerusalem, which is within the recognized borders of Israel
is not a big deal.
Israel has annexed the whole of Jerusalem, something which is not recognized by anyone.
Any recognition of the annexation would be a major shift in policy.

Since the Palestinian issue is in the freezebox at the moment, it is very likely that
they will use this to seek attention.

Secondly, I feel that Israel is a reality now. I don't think anyone can do anything about it. If you go to war and kill them (hypothetically speaking), you get killed too. So nobody wins really and nobody gets anything.

So it's either everyone lives and Israel exists, or israel doesn't exist and everyone gets killed.

I'll go with the former in such a scenario.

Israel was created out of stolen land by European refugees. Then they got portion of land, then they eyed more, more and more. When you are eyeing more and to take over all territory, they are basically including all Palestinians and looking for one state solution where Arabs and muslims will be majority unless Israel has some final plan for them like Hitler.

The Palestinians must opt for one state solution in return with equal rights. I still think of the intelligence of the Ottoman Empire King's who allowed persecuted European Jews to settle down in Palestine in 1878 and created the mess as this eventually gave the zionists the plan to take over land. For info jews were 3% during 1878 and this increased to 11% prior to first world war around 20% prior to second and war and during and after the war it increased to 30% while they were owner of 7% of the land but West countries granted 55% of the land created the present problem much worse. Any country or people would have protested such move.

You may be not able to do any thing physically, but still it is obligatory to tell the Truth and condemn the wrong, so that the World knows the Truth and may be able to change their opinion, at least on some issues.

Israel could kill the Palestinians, but if whole world stand against them, then they had to give the right of Palestinians to them.

I think if only Obama had got one more term, and would not have vetoed the resolutions against Israel, then Israel would have complied with the UN Resolutions. It is only due to Trump that Israel got courageous in oppressing the Palestinians more and more.

I don't think "Religion" was a problem for India in recognising Israel as India recognised Pakistan and many more countries who are religious states.

Main Issue why India didn't recognise Israel in the beginning is the same that Palestinians People suffered under this due to the colonial rule of British.

No doubt, the Creation of Israel was totally wrong according to the modern world standards. We could not change it, but it has to be mentioned every time while it is the Truth and Israel will usurp all Palestinian Land without it by making every kind of lame excuses.

I am not a Palestinian - my only loyalty to them is our connection through faith. I don't mind the idea of Jews living in Jerusalem, or anywhere else for that matter. But we know that now Zionist and Arab are treated the same in that strip of land. The day they are treated equally - there would be no problems.
