Troy PAR pump action rifle is produced in USA by Troy Defense. This rifle is intended for hunting, sport shooting (IPSC manually operated rifle) or home defense, and can provide a viable civilian alternative to semi-automatic carbines where latter are restricted by local gun laws. Troy PAR rifles are produced in two sizes, one based on the .223 Rem receiver and another on the bigger .308 Win receiver.



Troy PAR pump action rifle is based on AR-15 semi-automatic action, but lacks gas port and associated gas block, tube and bolt group features, bolt buffer and its spring. Instead, rifle is operated manually by sliding forend. The receiver design is based on the AR-15 design, is made from aluminum alloy and features similar layout and controls. In smaller “.223” version rifle accepts AR-15 / M16 type magazines, in larger “.308” version rifle accepts AR-10 magazines. It can be fitted with side-folding or telescoping shoulder stock. Sighting equipment can be attached using integral Picatinny rail above the receiver and forend.
