Trophy uses radars. They are not affected by smoke, fog, rain etc.

Can it be defeated by a simultaneous attack from two different sides !

Or to use such a shell that before it comes within range of the Trophy's range a part of it explodes to give a splatter of shrapnel to either confuse the Trophy or to keep it preoccupied with those many parts whilst the main warhead comes after a split second or so to strike the target !

Trophy can take simultaneous attacks from two different sides:

But there is no 100% protection. Each time missile is fired there is some chance it will pass trough. Personally I will be happy if Trophy takes out 50% of missiles.

No. Army received first Trophy equipped tanks in early 2009.

Not operational. No plans, if they wont find a buyer.

No. Trophy does not protect vs. any kinetic rounds at all. Only HEAT (RPG, ATGM, HEAT tank round).

Trophy is an amazing system it's similar to the Russian Arena APS both platforms defend the armored vehicle from RPG, ATGM, Tow missiles, etc) and other kinetic energy projectiles. A tank force equipped with Trophy would be hard to defeat. It's a real life saver in urban environments where insurgents or militants often like to hunker down and fire anti-tank weapons from hidden areas.

I would really like to see Pakistani army acquire this technology equipping it on possibly new AK II platform or even current AK would be really beneficial. There are countermeasures you can take against the Trophy system but still no guarantee your anti-tank explosive will actually bypass the active protection system and get a direct hit.

As for overwhelming method that could possibly work to bypass but think of the amount of anti-tank munition you're using up just to destroy a single tank.

The .50 cal rounds wouldn't be deterred by Trophy, but not sure if standard .50 cal rounds could even penetrate the armor thickness of the Merkava or many new tanks. Other calibers like 25mm or Raufoss MK 211 rounds would be more suitable for the task of stopping the tank and possibly killing the crew inside.
