Tripura to connect W Bengal via Akhaura

But unfortunately BAL is creating its own grave by signing transit to India and recently opened a new front of its destruction by removing Professor Dr. Younus. I hope you know what was the recent mayor election results and miserably AL was defeated over there. So instead of dreaming 20 years start count down of the remaining 2 years of AL if not AL change its course.

I think you are not up to date with the issue what the finance minister just said few days later from that point. BD will not charge any fees from the transit as it is not allowed to charge anything for transit. India will just give a yearly fees for the operation and maintainable cost for the transit but no duties for this unlimited transit with the excuse India is giving transit of Nepal and Bhutan to bangladesh. Nepal and Bhutan is not necessary for BD.

See you are getting money for allowing us transit facilities and I think India is doing a favor in operating and maintaining your railway lines... (this should have been a responsibility of the BD to begin with). I remember reading some other news that BD has a vision of transforming as a transportation hub for the region... isn't it. And for coming up as a hub, won't you need road and rail infrastructure?... Isn't that what India is helping you with.

With the proper infrastructure in place, BD goods will have access to the entire NE, Nepal, Bhutan and parts of Eastern India and isn't that a good thing for the smaller players in BD to be able to expand and increase their revenues?

India is not helping in any thing. They are giving some so called loans which BD will have to return with interest and will have to utilize in projects which BD will hardly use as you know already the dhaka agartola bus service is under loss and so will also be the rail link as it has no need/demand now. Yes BD wants to be the manufacturing hub but not transit hub without any benefit. So far there are no sign of benefit. This is the main objection of all including many in the AL.

Then we will buy Jamaat-e-Islami same us we bought A:azn:L...both women are good at bargaining:undecided: unfortunately last time pakistan won the auction:sick: but this time we are much more prepared after the IPL4 auction which was just a practice....:yahoo:

You fail to look at the longer term benefits and only looking for short term benefits. Seriously, I haven't seen such anti-development people in any country. Every country in this world looking to grow economically is inviting investments and taking loans to build its infrastructure. Every country is looking to the longer term into the future. You strike me to be of the kind as many were in India in the pre-economic liberalization era. What was the result?....our economy was stagnant for decades.

Think not from your personal benefits, think how your future generations will enjoy the benefits of improved infrastructure. Hope it makes sense.

You troll need to remember that Khaleda Zia does not belong to JEI. JEI is a very minor group is bangladesh politics but they have a very strong base on the groung this is the only advantage it has. N BNP/Khaleda jas learn a good lessopn in the last 3 years or so and they will be much more cautious to deal with the bharatis as they have seen how people can turn their face from the government.

BD needs to invest on infrastructure which are more necessary right now then investing on benapol agartola link which has no demand right right now. As we have already link with agartola by road so this link will hardly be needed in the future. This whole link is only meant for benefiting India as current route is benapol-dhaka and then Dhaka-Agartola.

N will you please tell me what benefit BD will gain in the longer term from this rail link instead of investing on other roads and bridges which are badly needed???

You think you will be able to handle the volume of exports through "Bus service"??? Access to 50 million people market in India's NE through Bus service... I don't think so.

The same benefit that any region gets when there is proper road and rail link anywhere else in the world. And anyways you are not investing your money in these, India is taking up this burden at the moment .... BD can invest on other roads and bridges where its money is needed the most.

Another really disgusting move by the AL government to please the bharatis... I just can not understand why AL government is so bent on giving transit to the bharatis before making sure the benefit that BD is gonna get!!!

N point to be noted this deal is part of the transit and the so called Indian financing as mentioned by the news is actually part of the loan that India is going to give to bangladesh for there own use as Bangladesh does not need the railway link between Akhawra and Agartola or in other word Benapol to Agartola as it does not serve any benefit to Bangladesh...:mad:
