Traitor Wants To Come Home

Just because they are less advanced doesn't mean they are that different.

The day we stoop to lower standards out of competition instead of rising above it, is the day we abandon those pieces of paper known as the declaration of independence and the bill of rights

What Snowden wanted to do show was right, how he did it was wrong.

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort

He did not aid the enemy nor gave them comfort except in showing that the US government was acting as the enemy of its own people and violating the fourth amendment blatantly.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects,[a] against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized

The way the government was carrying it out, it was without probable cause. It would make sense to search the e-mails of the attendants of a mosque suspected of harbouring terror sympathizers upon prior(even if classified) approval by a high court judge. But without cause and literally amassing data for the heck of it; that is plain immoral.

It is NOT about us or them being advanced or possessing more iphones.. its about us being better at valuing human life than them.. every aspect of human life.

Snowdon is not a traitor and a fair trial would prove it.... Extremely unlikely to get one however

Alright point out he was trying to do the right thing, but how he did do it wrong? And isn't informing to the world what the NSA's capabilities pretty much aided the enemy?

Information is recorded considering we used the internet, that does not mean the NSA is using it against you unless with probable cause.

Reminds me of the movie Enemy of the State.

It's not up to him to decide what the world 'needs to know'. He's a hired hand. Do your job and go home. If you can't do that then find a new line of work.

At the same time, say if you've got cancer and the doctor is performing a treatment upon you which is not guaranteed to work without your knowledge or consent.. would you be ok with it?

.
Why he wants to come to USA. He can enjoy beautiful Russia . also i think he ment no more use to Russia that's why they are asking him to go back.

well, what you know about what he did is probably just a tip of an iceberg, the problem goes a bit deeper than what he did why he did.

There are something called public trust, the moment you violated it is the moment people lose their trust on you, he can go back to the US, set aside if he is going to go to jail, nobody in the US would trust him enough to give him anything to do anymore. Thats not just to him, but to all the whistle blower

Regardless of his leak being moral correct or not, what he done is inexcusable, plus he was in it for the fame to begin with, i am pretty sure I would leak the document to the press under the table then have my name blasted on it.

And then finally, what you know about is him leaking the PRISM protocol, nobody outside Intel circle know exactly what he leak beside PRISM. He might have leaked something else to someone else and you will not hear them from the media...

I dont disagree with that, which is why I said that how he did it is incorrect. He could have gone to the law itself or a human rights organization to pursue a case within the courts.

lol I didnt say otherwise, but just pointing out he would have nowhere to go and nothing to do even if he avoided jail....

He violated his contract to the US government for one thing. If you can't live up to a contract, don't sign one.

Also, he stopped over in Hong Kong for a while, and then went to Russia. Who knows what other information he might have sold as a "trump card" to guarantee his protection here and in Russia?

.
He's not a doctor. He's a traitor.

NO people like you are the real traitors. Willing to just go along with all kinds of government crimes. People like you are the useful idiots that the government needs to do whatever it wants, whenever it wants. I wouldn't be surprised if you're some govt contractor.

.
He's not a doctor. He's a traitor.

He may be a traitor, but his message is not traitorous. You din get the point at all, why the hell should the government be able to get away with anything without checks and balances.
