So this type of hair style derives from nomads?

If every piece of your body is from your parents then why shave your hair?

I mean is there any particular reason for this hairstyle? I have seen old photos of China and I saw this hair style in the main cities.

Yes, this shaved customs, from nomads.
Ancient times,Han believes that the hair from parents, can not easily be shaved, it is not respect the parents .
Similarly, the skin is Can not be easily damaged. so,, there are two kinds of criminal law in China, “髡刑” Is shaved hair. “黥面”Face lettering
before the Qing Dynasty, the Han adult is not shaved hair, but will regularly cut their hair, the ancient Hans hair were very long. Man hairdo ,Wrap it up or wearing various crown。
, women according to marital status, and to make a variety of hairstyles.
The child's hair, some like nomads

Mostly from the Altaic people such as the Turco-Mongol and Tungusic people.

The Chinese people from the 1644-1911 period also had this haircut because our Emperors had the Altaic background, thus they enforced the regular citizens also to bear the same haircut and dress as them.

To be honest i don't like that hair style, shaving all the hair and keeping some hair in the middle of the head.

Thank you for your replies. Always great to get wiser on a topic that you know little about.

So what was the pre-Qing Dynasty traditional clothing/hair styles in China? Are there not big regional differences in traditional China? I mean between North and South?

Not much regional difference but different dynasties (pre-Qing) do have different styles. But 2 prominent features including right lapel 右衽 and wide sleeves are apparent in all Han traditional clothing. Left lapel is reserved for foreigners or barbarians. Right lapel was codified by Confucius canons.

Some Russian Cossacks also bear that hair style, maybe they were influenced by the Turco-Mongol custom in some degree.

呉服 enough said. He should bow to me lol. I am direct descendant of Wu kingdoms. Wu is pronounced Ng is our dialect, I think similar to Cantonese (I might be wrong.)

You are from Ningbo, which is traditionally considered as Yue, not Wu.

Only the parts in Zhejiang such as Jiaxing and Huzhou are considered as Wu.

Ha Ha, your last name is Ng ? Are you Hakka or Cantonese ?

To be honest, some modern Chinese girls don't look very appropriate to wear the Hanfu.

Just like some actors/actresses are more appropriate to play the ancient drama/movie than others.

True, because their makeup, hairstyle and temperament don't suit the ancient style clothing.
