Pink Floyd - Another brick in the Wall 1979. "We do'nt need no education" I could certainly relate to that. When I listen to this song it still gives me the chills. My school years in the 1970s could pretty well be summed up by this song - I got caned by the headteacher more times than I can remember with a steel ruler. If you moved your hand out of the way which sometimes you did because of fear reflex your punishments was doubled. Maybe me being the only Pakistani kid in a all English school had something to do with me getting punished every week but still it did turn me against any form of capital punishment.
