Top 5 Asian Football Teams

I know this is not related to defence ... but I really want to know about the Top teams in Asia.. and how they compare to Europe and South America ... I think Asia is stronger than Africa in this game...
and I also want to know from Indian members ,,, how they see India Football team and can we expect our Team to ever qualify for World Cup
.. by the way. I know very little about this game as most of the Indian .. i enjoy playing and watching cricket... i suck in cricket :( ...

i did some research on net.. here is my ranking for top 5 ... asian teams ..

South Korea
Japan
Iran
Uzbekistan
Israel

not including Australia and Turkey ...

You forgot Saudi Arabia!....:woot:

.
I think the black players and South European/Middle Eastern players can produce more individual talented players, while the Northern European teams like Germany/Holland/UK have a more balanced ability for its players. :coffee:

Pele is black, Ronaldo is black, Zidane is Berber/Arab, Maradona is Italian, Messi is Italian, C.Ronaldo is Portugueuse.

Maradona and Messi are Argentinians, or you're talking about their background and stuff, because i know Messi's grandfather is Italian who migrated to Argentina.

.
If you actualy watch their games, the way Japan play is apparently on a better notch than any other Asian teams, although their ranking is not higher at the moment, that's why I said they have the potential. Iran and Turkey play similar styles, neigher very consistent, on and off from time to time.

I do agree that Japan has a more solid football background, since SK is primarily cheating and bribery, just look at the 2002 WC. :coffee:

yeah i know japan is good, just the words you used isn't what we use in the football dictionary.

world power doesn't belong there :D

just a question was there ever a
India vs China football match ... i don't find anything on net... probably not ...

I think the ethnic background does play a role, since East Asians are not designed to play football, no matter what is their training condition and where they live. :coffee:

Isn't this a defense forum? :azn:

I actually could not think of a word to describe the teams like Span, Brazil etc type of calibre, so came up with "world power".

BTW, Turkey had some very impressive games in last Euro cup, what happened this time, I though teams are actually weaker this time.

Even we do play better than India, there is nothing to brag about, since we already suck compared to many others. :coffee:

China was top gold medal winning nation in last Olympics... and Chinese govt. do place a lot of effort to excel in sports ... i think China will make a mark in football much earlier than India..

We can top the Olympic Games, but winning the WC is almost impossible for us to accomplish.

I'll be happy to see if we can qualify to play as the teams in the WC. :coffee:
