turkey smart....thanks god
Turkey is not in list:
how come they managed to multiply Iran 3-4 Millard dollar military budget into 17.5 milliard dollar ?
Iran numbers don't add up. It's much lower than this.
As @MTN1917 said, due to removal of some sanctions,12 billion dollars have been added to the defense budget recently.Something is wrong here, Turkey has a higher budget than Israel and Iran.

Those numbers are provided by sipri(sipri didn't published estimates on Iran for several years till 2012), but the article is about IISS estimates.Something is wrong here, Turkey has a higher budget than Israel and Ira n.

Iran should be using that money elsewhere, there will be no attack on Iran.
Although the threat of attacked has been eliminated, almost I mean, but still dangers of a war exist. Considering geopolitical and political situation of Iran, we still have one of the lowest defense budgets in the world.
Just take Australia, Brazil, UAE and KSA as examples, who is going to attack them?
And also, the good thing is that almost all of the defense budget goes to domestic production, no matter how much distant we are from world's top arm producers, but it's still an advantage.
Yes that was going to be my question on this thread considering the lack of willing foreign suppliers Iran must spend most of its defense budget on local RndD correct?
Of course, Iran still can't buy arms from foreign countries, so it's an opportunity to boost domestic production much further.
