What's new

Too many mosques, legislation needed

the amount of population increase in years makes its impossible to fit in mosques if you dont build more mosques and state gives only gives rebates most of the time the land of mosque is bought and built on charity or donated by people so state is nothing in reality

^Most mosques are designed in a way in which they cannot be constructed developed further. Secondly people are lazy bums they don't want to walk or drive to the next mosque but want everything in hand that is closer to their residence and businesses.

Hi,

I think an interesting addition to the mosque should be clean toilets / washrooms----a clean area where you don't have green mold growing. Plus the most important----a tidy and acceptable manner of placing your foot wear---rather than leaving them where ever in random

 what the.....

Lol, hilarious. This is not rich cultures of Western lifes. It is good to mix with footwear in random. :D

You seem focus worrying on washroom than prayer times, please do wadu at home before coming to Mosque if you can.

That's indeed a great idea but some modification is needed as religious education a necessary for every muslim so the idea is to convert these Madrisas or our schools into a type of school which relates both the science and religion as single body and where science and modern technology is interpreted by religious teaching as our religion Islam is most advance and ever lasting religion that covers every thing till dooms day.

this idea was implimented on general zia era...scheme called masjid school...There is long enough gap between fajar prayer and zohar prayer to hold classes....i seen remote villages with masjid schools until mid 90s....it was very cost effective and convenient method of schooling....later it died out due to lack of funding and mismanagement.

Thankyou MastanKhan we need it, by doing so our people will learn the civilized way. It brings consciousness, awareness of how to keep things clean and organized and is a part of Islam and Islamic values. My friends consider it hilarious but I consider it to be the first step in grooming and making our humans civilized by starting it from the mosques.

You seem to stress on wadu when actually Allah stress it is the sincerity and the Prayer to Him that is important.

PS. do justice to the mosques as you do to your homes beautifying and organizing them.

misuse of masjid toilets as free for all public toilets is vommon in pakistan...there are people who wont come to mosque for prayers but will use toilets and wont clean after them.....
thats why we see masjids locked up and only.opened at rayer times...while masjid is supposed to be an all time available worship place.

Dear members,

I am just pointing out a very important aspect of our society, which in my view remained under gross negligence. That is the Number of mosques in every Area.

I am not aware what procedure is followed while allowing construction of any mosque. I mean whether population of area is considered or not. As it is observed that most of the times (except jumma prayers) all the mosques lie vacant, just 1, 2 or 3 lines get filled.

Like in my own area there are around 7 mosques. considering the population, the number of mosques is almost 3 times higher than required.

Another issue is the construction of mega mosques, i mean high capacity mosques like we have Faisal Mosque in Islamabad, which i think never got filled, which just made it a picnic point rather than the mosque. Even a safe place for couples to visit there.

Now:
- Do we really need a Huge Number of mosques?

- Can a legislation be made for restricting the number of mosques considering the Sq. KM area.

- before allowing construction of additional mosques, it should be made mandatory to prove that the mosque already in the area remains full / out of space.

What are your views.

Do not talk like a kafir. We are not improving because we do not follow allah and quran properly. mosques are the centers of islamic religion without them islam will not prevail. more mosques in pakistan better for our people.

zionist payroll people talking against mosques. :hitwall:

I have read some. But how a Muslim can talk against mosques. This is against Quran and Allah. He is talking like a kafir. WTF?

Mosques are centre of Islam. more and more mosques , more and more we are near to Allah.

And with the addition of more research centres and scientific laboratories, non-profit organizations, homeless shelters and a fair system for the entirety of the masses to be accounted for by, one distances himself from Allah. This can be verified by your statement in a very logical manner.

Why so many Masajid?

Mehru has pointed to the issue of land encroachment, basically theft -- however, an other issue which we may focus on and which to my understanding is more relevant, is the fact that Islam in Pakistan is evolving in a most curious manner -- there any number of Mullahs who have successfully attracted a following and before you know it, you have a new Masjid --The net effect it seems to me is that this serves to split, to separate in to ever smaller "denominations", if you will -- once we just all used to be Muslim, but now, the word Muslim is followed by sectarian and terms denoting differences on points of law and theology - just a damn shame -- but Mullahs seem determined to destroy the Islam of our forefathers and while they may be successful (and really we are to blame for allowing them to do that), I think we may be mindful that the pendulum will also swing the other way.

When one studies the manner in which the ulema taunted and pushed Kemal Pasha and to his ultimate response, one can understand that Mullah is not necessarily a thinker, he's a petty politician.

If the Mullah cannot control himself, then society has a obligation to safeguard those institutions that it must decide for itself, whether to save or not.

Acha. Enough. Don't behave like you are from TTP. Nobody becomes Kafir if he says anything about any new regulation regarding building new mosques. He has presented some of his points very well. I also agree to this point that there should be some kind of regulation for building new mosques in a particular area. Building more and more mosques like you say to bring people closer to Allah has resulted in sectarianism and in many cases land encroachment instead of bringing people closer to God.

But how a Muslim can talk against mosques

He is just saying that there should be a regulation in Pakistan for building mosques like it is already present in many other Muslim countries. I hope you won't call those Muslim countries as Kafirs as your signature says "real" Islamic countries.

:disagree:
