No they are doing better things. KPK Police is actually being structurally changed, instead of these cosmetic and money making schemes such as the safe city project. This is why KPK Police has left Punjab Police miles behind. Billions of rupees swindled off in this project, almost every equipment was bought with an inflated 50% price.

In Punjab, the Chief Minister personally interviews all the DPO's, SSP's, DIG's, AIG's etc and chooses those who are loyal to him. It's like saying the PM would want to personally interview all the LT Generals, Maj Generals or Brigadiers before assigning them a Post. What's the point of this Safe City Project when your entire Police force is demoralized. Hanif Abbasi attacks a police station and forces the SHO to release his goon. When the SHO refuses, Hanif Abbasi has the DPO and SHO suspended. So much for the Model Police.

Equipment and weapons come second, the most important thing is "proper training" again training in soft skills like "tactics, methods, and approach" are more important than physical training. We need self-respecting, educated and highly intelligent people of integrity.

Every Policeman also needs to be equipped with better weapons and Optics and bullet proof vest and other gear. Forensic labs should be opened in ever major city of Punjab.
