Renewables account for 52% of Turkey’s installed capacity

Turkey’s installed power capacity has reached almost 100 GW
and more than half of which comes from renewable resources

Turkey’s 120 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of renewable energy generation prevented energy imports worth $5 billion in 2020

about $100 billion of Energy investments were completed in power generation, transmission, and distribution assets

Total renewable capacity in Turkey = 49,3 GW ( 52% of Turkey’s installed capacity )

@MMM-E Thank you for a great thread. Ataturk's dream of a westernized, highly developed, civilized, economically prosperous and militarily potent country has indeed come true. Turkey now is indeed 'top dog' in the region and you have come a long way from almost being invaded by the Greeks.

I fixed that line for you.. Backward?
He is absolutely right. There used to be saying in English when I was growing up of "cathedrals in the desert". What that mean't was something fancy in middle of nothing. UAE, Bahrain etc are microstates and just rely on oil. Fundamentally they are primitive societies steeped in orthodox Islam that has no place in the modern world. Yes they are evolving because wealth gives you access to education like we see UAE slowly hugging Israel and becoming open. However at this point in time they still are primitive societies.

The most important thing is Leader like ATATURK or ERDOGAN
if ATATURK or ERDOGAN ruled Turkey between 1923 and 2020 , then Turkey would be similar to the UK,France,,Germany today

after Ataturk, Erdogan is the most impressed and successful and controversial leader in Turkey

and Muslim Turks are turning Turkey into modern and developed country as a target of ATATURK

CHP and leftists failed to bring progress to Turkey despite all their claims that Islam was the cause of backwardness. Now they cannot stand that it is Muslim Turks are bringing the modernization to Turkey that they failed for 79 odd years
