What's new

To build Modern TURKEY ( Projects and Updates )

I fixed that line for you.. Backward? Look you can add the EU, US and Turkey altogether but they won't match even 5% of the infrastructure that is in the GULF (Qatar, UAE, Bahiran,Oman,Saudi Arabia and Kuwait)

Yes the infrastructure is great in the GULF
but No democracy in the GULF (Qatar, UAE, Bahiran,Oman,Saudi Arabia and Kuwait)

and what about İraq,Syria,Yemen,Egypt,Lebanon,Jordan,İran ?

Egypt is building 20 new cities so I will discount them but the remaining list have bad infrastracture Syria has been thru 10 year war. Iran is heavily sanctioned but not bad infrastracture.. Yemen and Iraq has been thru recent wars. Jordan is not that bad actully.

You said secular not democratic? ALSO you said predominantly but technically the majority are well developed but key take away here is that same region is the leading world player into the future. You should measure your claims. Besides you lost the ball..

Whenever you are talking about infrastracture you have to mention the leading figures in that field but here you shade them while praising yourself

The GULF (Qatar, UAE, Bahiran,Oman,Saudi Arabia and Kuwait) have no capability to build their own infrastructure

also The GULF (Qatar, UAE, Bahiran,Oman,Saudi Arabia and Kuwait) have no industry
Arab Countries are not industrialized Countries

Turkey is industrialized Country
Turkish Construction Industry completed 10,274 projects with a total value of $407 billion in 127 countries
The total construction project pipeline in Turkey stands at $508 billion

without oil/gas reserves The GULF (Qatar, UAE, Bahiran,Oman,Saudi Arabia and Kuwait) would be similar to Yemen

Turkey has no oil/gas reserves , still Turkey has bigger GDP PPP than Saudi Arabia+UAE+Qatar combined

Turkey made very good progress. It only has one big problem. Its foreign debt is close to half a trillion dollars. I do not know how they want to pay this debt or even interest ?

For comparison, Iran has only 7 billion foreign debts due to its situation, while tens of billions of Iranian money are blocked abroad and in fact Iran has no foreign debt ...

Turkey has the lowest external debt to compare with GDP in Europe's major Economies

The UK $9 trillion ( 345% of GDP )
France $7,3 trillion ( 230% of GDP )
Germany $5,7 trillion ( 165% of GDP )
Netherlands $4,5 trillion ( 460% of GDP )
Italy $2,5 trillion ( 141% of GDP )
Spain $2,2 trillion ( 170% of GDP )
Switzerland $1,8 trillion ( 285% of GDP )
Belgium $1,2 trillion ( 269% of GDP )
Sweden $993 billion ( 169% of GDP )
Austria $757 billion ( 165% of GDP )
Norway $600 billion ( 181% of GDP )
Denmark $491 billion ( 158% of GDP )
Finland $483 billion ( 223% of GDP )
Greece $476 billion ( 298% of GDP )
Turkey $453 billion ( 65% of GDP )
Portugal $447 billion ( 203% of GDP )

İran,KSA,UAE are so lucky with huge oil/gas reserves

every year Turkey pays $45-50 billion to buy oil/gas
soon oil/gas reserves in the Black Sea and in the Eastern Mediterranean

also Turkey develops 1100+ projects to reduce imports by $130 billion annually

What does that have to do with capability to build or not.. Workers are available always if you have money and you are making it sound as if it is a plus.. Chilax.. Yes they are Industrialized countries do some research..

Turkey does not have bigger GDP then GCC and in fact GCC is the 7th richests country in the world and most richest large country. Per capita income 7th highest and 7 biggest economy.. The only one who is above the GCC is two of it's own members in Qatar and UAE + Brunei, Luxumburg, Singepoure, San Marino..

Normally bigger countries will never be able to have that high per capita income example Germany and other wealthy countries can't compete with the GCC because in per capita they are placed like in top 30-ish and it is only the smaller countries that can have high per capita but have you ever seen a country with 65mio population that is placed 7th place in per capita and also 7th place in the largest economy that is GCC. In fact the GCC is the wealthiest large country on earth that has more then 7mio population. You will never see a country with so much population with that kind of high per capita because it is unheard off.

I am not taking anything away from Turkey and all the power to them but you messed with the wrong tree..

Population
• 2021* estimate65,506,958 (25th)
• Density21.13/km2 (54.7/sq mi) (162nd)

GDP (PPP)2018 estimate
• Total$3.655 trillion (7th)
• Per capita$71,205 (7th)

1-country like US UK in some case Switzerland or even germany and france a little bit!.they can print money like mf and sell it to other and solve the problem!...
2- country like Greece Spain they already has f u econemy with no hope...

i understand turkey gov want bost turkey Infrastructure with take foreign money.but they should be careful because after some point there no turning back ! there's countries in the region witch never can pay its debt...

Turkey will earn money from all those projects

only one example , around 2 million medical tourists and $20 billion revenue are expected by 2023

Turkey develops 1100+ projects to reduce imports by $130 billion annually
10 years x $130 billion = $1,3 trillion

in near future , Turkey will have trade surplus
imports will be less than exports

btw Turkey's net foreign debt totaled $268.9 billion as of Dec. 31, 2020, some 37.5% of the GDP.
and The public net debt stock amounted to $130 billion

European Banks have an $161 billion exposure to Turkish debt
because of Turkish Banks took loan from European Banks to give credit to Turkish People
so Turkish Banks can pay their debt

Bro is it lucrative to buy 6 or 7 story building with 8-12 apartments. How much rent can I expect from such a building?

Is 50,000 TL a good amount for a family of 5?

My family is looking at investing in such apartment buildings vs commercial stores such as in malls etc that have grocery or restaurant tenants.

What are some common scams in Istanbul property business?? Some ads on sahibinden are obviously fake lol.

Any insight will be great.

Power is GDP PPP , not per capita

China has so small per capita but economic powerhouse in the world
who cares about Brunei, Luxumburg, Singepoure, San Marino ? nobody

Countries by GDP PPP

Turkey has the World's 11th largest GDP by PPP

9 -- France $3.231 trillion
10- The UK $3.174 trillion
11- Turkey $2.749 trillion
17- Saudi Arabia $1.705 trillion
34- UAE $683 billion
60- Qatar $273 billion

Turkey has bigger GDP PPP than Saudi Arabia+UAE+Qatar combined

but problem is for Turkey to pay $45-50 billion for buying oil-gas annually
GULF States have wealth of oil/gas money

GCC Countries’s $2 trillion wealth could just vanish in 15 years
