Tipu Sultan, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan's lives to be turned into world class productions: Fawad Chaudhry

The Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain took to Twitter on Wednesday to make some promising announcements.

He said that the reform process initiated in the Ministry of Information and its attached departments in 2018 is being resumed. In a series of tweets, Chaudhry assured that "complete support will be extended to the digital media," and “the revival of film and television is a top priority," among other things.

Chaudhry went on to reveal that the lives of Tipu Sultan and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan will be turned into world class productions. He also assured that loans worth Rs50 million will be offered to the young and aspiring filmmakers of Pakistan via the Kamyab Jawan Programme.

Chaudhry stated that Prime Minister Imran Khan will be offering a personal home and 'sehat' card to the journalists associated with print and TV media. A legislation and insurance will be introduced to mandate the payment of salaries while offering facilities to the Press Club.

While the reform will also ensure PTV News and PTV Sports becomes HD (High Definition) – a project that has been stalling since 2019 but will hopefully conclude by June this year.

In another tweet, the minister disclosed that the recording of a new anthem he initiated in 2018 is now its final stages too.

“We will have new digital recording of an anthem in few months, Inshallah,” he concluded.

Oh come on.. Don't give me Tipu Sultan or Syed Ahmed Khan.. Give me Muhammed of Ghor, Alauddin Khilji, Mohammed bin Tughlaq, Razia Sultana, Malik Akbar etc etc.

But admittingly tho making a Muhammed of Ghor featured series or movie will have to cost a ridiculous amount of budget in the range of 500 million per season if turned series topping Lord of the ring series and the same with Alauddin Khilji, Malik Akbar, or the notorious Muhammed bin Tughlaq or Aurangzeb based productions would be extremely expensive just due to the amount of military campaigns and action that took place during their life time you need a large casting plus endless amount of extras.. The Film or Movie industry has got to throw a heavy budget down or just don't do it because you can't do these legends justice. A life of a true Ghazi defines the word cinematic

Tipu and his Father collaborated with the French another colonial power in their campaigns, the French eventually went powerless in India following the Revolution, lost wars and politics with the ottomans and Russians, Tipu held the grudge to take on Hyderabad Nizams and Marathas, end their empires along with the British and control entire South (&South West) India, the British collaborated with the Nizams and the Marathas to successfully overthrow Tipu, not to mention, Tipu wasn't even the "Sultan" of Mysore, he kept the original rulers, Wodeyars, powerless as King, and ruled at the "pleasure" of them, made it easy for the Brits to kill him off as there was no threat of Mutiny among the masses.
