TIME FOR THE U.S. TO PARTNER WITH CHINA IN SPACE?

what would a 40 year behind the 8 ball space technology country as China, a hostile country and a threat to the US, bring to the table that would compel the US to join hands? love to hear it...

Space program needs money and beggars in DC dont have those to sustain NASA.So this proposal is coming from usa ...The biggest beggars of the world.

Because a sense of insecurity to lose the space leadership and race to China knowing is still very far behind as 40 years that motivate some Americans to fantasize the Idea of admit Chinese membership.

for them bring friend close, bring enemy even closer...so we will be like Russia, behave sagely as some deliver boy and let American to run the space show...LMAO. I'm really feel sorry for Russia, it was a space leader in comunist block with prestige and respect but now just a deliver boy of the ISS.

What is NASA's budget ? for some one who wore american flags here one time ( you change flags I suspect faster that your clothes), you don't seem to knowmuch about the country.

And really- to call US the biggest beggars period. Now now- we don't have the IMF bailing us out or folks giving us govt aid...

again, not withstanding that gibberish. what does a 3rd world country with a 40 year old " behind" space program compared to us have to offer? make your case ... sure you can pop a few satellites for us, if we can trust you not to steal any tech from it... but we can do the same with India w/o security risks and with a friendly country.

Losing Space leadership to who? To China??

I don't see how this gonna happen in the next 30 years. Chinese only have manned space flight in space and now they are geting over the US as space leader?? What kind of logic is that??

US is now a frequent player in Mars and China have a sole failed expedition to Mars where the rocket not even left Earth Orbit. Even the Chinese NAtional Space agency admit it have to be in 2030 they would be able to orbit Mars let alone landing anywhere near mars. This would require a re-entry module who can auto offload cargo, China does not even have a lunar landing module that work, how are they gonna land in mars when the condition is much more harsher than the Moon.

What Chinese does as a National Space Agency is only the same class as US Civilian Space Agency currently, we have alreayd have 2 manned civilian spacecraft into the space, i think Richard Branson's Virgin would probably overpass NASA as space learer beofre China....lol

the truth is that US is the country who always brings up this comparison and cries wolf,China only wants a quiet place to develop the country but US just doesn't let.and I reallly don't see any say that India should have in this domain.

this article was written by an American and has nothing to do with India,you just jumped in and ridiculed China as a third world country with no regards of the fact that China has long been out of that group in which India forever reserves a permament seat there.

I don't get this- the 2nd highest GDP in the world " supposedly"- has maybe 300 mil out 1.3 mil living decent. Has it own leadership refuse to acknowledge it is a " developed" nation and calls it self an underdeveloped =3rd world still... but has it's 50 cent gang here always pulling poor India into a comparison?
