Russia is trying to be the way US deals with India and Pakistan...Nothing wrong with it. The only difference is that Russia is not US...

So India is doing right think by just dealing with each of the nations based on its benifit and political advantage of each of the relationship.

That is a cliche )))))))))))) which even China might use if they deal with India or US if deal with a non-ally country for calming down an ally country or trade-strategic partner.

So basically no country develops relations with another country at a cost of a strong ally country.

Now the bigger question in my opinion is that why an "INVISIBLE RECTANGLE" created so much unrest or concern for India?

We are relevantly a small country as compared to India in terms of economy, weapons' expenditure and above all we are surrounded by two hostile neighbours hence our concern is genuine but why India? you have money, you have more than one allies, you have almost all weapons markets opened for buying.

india's GDP is only twice that of Russia's but india's population is nearly 10 times that of Russia. Also Russia has the rare and exclusive ability to 100% indigenously invent, pioneer, design, produce and manufacture advanced high tech weapons systems. india does not.
