In regards to the discussion, those who think that taking out an American CBG is a problem that can be addressed with a limited volley of missiles; please come out of your ignorance bubble. They have a remarkable set-of-defenses to counter numerous types of threats including sea-skimming cruise missiles, supersonic cruise missiles and even MARV-equipped ballistic missiles; set-of-defenses not found in other ships. And they will not be sitting idle if subjected to firepower. They have numerous methods and sensor systems at their disposal to enable them to strike at distant targets (launch points) and neutralize them in response.
