Three terrorists killed in North Waziristan operation: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Three terrorists were killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Mir Ali area, North Waziristan, ARY News reported, citing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the military’s media wing, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation at terrorists’ suspected hideouts in Mir Ali.
During an intense fire, three terrorists affiliated with Aleem Khan group were killed, ISPR said. The terrorists were involved in attacks over security forces, target killings and kidnapping for ransom.
Earlier on February 4, at least four terrorists were killed while two security personnel embraced martyrdom during an operation in North Waziristan.
According to ISPR, the security forces observed presence of terrorists in a compound in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan. As soon as the troops cordoned off the area, terrorists opened fire on them, said ISPR.
During an intense fire, four terrorists were killed, the military’s media wing had said, adding that these terrorists were involved in kidnapping for ransom, extortion, fire raids on security forces and IED explosions.

How and where are these people getting into North Waziristan? Why are we unable to put a stop?
While taking them out is an important step, more important is to know is how are they coming into Pakistan despite all the border fencing and surveillance? Their hide outs in Afghanistan needs to be bombed as well. The sense of security that these terrorists have once they cross the border should be taken away.

Capacity building is going on for some time now. FC has been transformed from the old days to a modern fighting force. Police capabilities need to be enhanced as well however sometimes a good defence lies in an offense. We need to start hitting them outside our borders so that this sense of security that these terrorists have gets diminish. Yes high profile TTP targets have been taken out lately in Afghanistan by unknown however its impact and scale needs to be increased with more open strikes so that every one starts getting the message that its Pakistan thats doing it and they mean business.
