Siachen belongs to Pakistan, and it is internationally recognized territory belonging to Pakistan. If anyone is to quit, it is India, for it's illegal occupation since decades.

Because you have your army on it shall not mean it belongs to you, and if you are not willing to demilitarize the glacier, we're happy to stay there as long, too.

What a waste of resources from both sides.

Ya right, just because you dream that Siachen belongs to Pakistan, you expect us to agree & go home? We are not the ones whining to demilitarise, it's your CoAS who brought this matter up & it's largely your commentators who want a resolution. The Indian army is fine with the status quo which suits us. (you can't continue to stay on the Siachen because you are not there in the first place) Btw, there is no more wastage of resources in siachen than there is in having nuclear weapons, atleast here we have an tangible result which is the actual possession of the glacier. Worrying about India wasting its resources is not your concern unless you are calling for immediate peace keeping in mind the present realities.

Yes Pakistani non-state actors or mujhaheed broke the mutual treaty of unmanning there position during winter, gained mountian position by insurgencies through "Operation Badr" & bravely acquired UNMANNED position with in Indian LOC.

Objective of Kargil was to control siachen route or break indian supply to Siachen.

Being on top position Pakistan had advantage of shooting indian troops but when India started war, mujahid started running back & we shooted them like a turkey-shoot by IA.

Later your government disowned them for years who were burried with respect by Indians.

In 1965, Operation Gibraltor started by Pakistani Army, which was designed to infiltrate forces into Jammu Kashmir & take control of valley & was ended by Pakistani Air force defending LAHORE.Kashmir lete lete Lahore haath se jaa raha tha.....wao what a WIN !!!
