Three Indian soldiers killed in encounter

NEW DELHI: Three soldiers were martyred and an unidentified terrorist was killed in an encounter between terrorists and security forces in Kashmir's Bandipora district early on Tuesday morning.

Six other security personnel and a civilian also suffered injuries in the midst of a firefight with the terrorists. The injured security force personnel have been rushed to a hospital, a police official told PTI.

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Hajin area of the district after receiving intelligence about the presence of terrorists in the area.


Nine security personnel were injured after the hidden terrorists opened fire on them. The security forces fired back at the terrorists, triggering an encounter. Out of the nine wounded jawans, three later succumbed to their injuries.
One terrorist, whose identity has not been ascertained yet, was also killed in the encounter.

The operation was on when last reports came in.


On Sunday, two jawans were martyred+ and four Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists were shot down during an encounter in south Kashmir's Kulgam area+

India is a free Democratic country, and any such news cannot be hidden, unlike in Pakistan, whose army is yet to reveal complete details of it's casualties during Kargil war

RIP to the death and hope for quick recovery for injured.

Poor Kaishmiri's they should stop fighting for Pakistan and instead focus on their well being. Pakistan civil and military establishment only interested in Kasmiri land ( for stratergic depth )and full control on rivers ( Dariyaoun ka pani) that's it.

Terrorist and terrorism bring more harm to Kashmir cause.

India is a free Democratic country, and any such news cannot be hidden, unlike in Pakistan, whose army is yet to reveal complete details of it's casualties during Kargil war

Yea it's a democratic country thus it even rejoices on capturing a Pigeon, blowing up some fishing boat and shooting down balloons. Those involved in Kargil was NLI, small close knit unit, impossible to hide any major casualties, India has yet to reveal it's losses during the so called surgical strike....unless those bodies lying in open for two days were Dalits.
