The Modi Sarkar has finally completed its three years, which can be best described as extremely tumultuous and highly controversial. A brief look at the BJP’s reign in India explains what the man has done.

First, he and his party have increased hatred towards the minorities in India on the whole, especially Muslims and Christians as he and his ministers openly support the far-right nationalists.

Second, Modi has worked to deny Muslims their fundamental right of what to eat by imposing ban on cow slaughter and encouraging lynching of innocent Muslims.

Third, Modi’s actions in Kashmir have generated so much unrest in the Valley that things have gotten simply out of control for the Indian Union, the armed forces, paramilitary forces and the police.

Fourth, Modi has managed several stage-managed incidents in the country, notably Uri and Pathankot, in which Pakistan based groups were blamed.

Fifth, the Modi Sarkar has gone on an arms buying spree in the international market with the aim to target chiefly Pakistan.

Sixth, the Modi Sarkar has violated the LoC understanding with Pakistan and is continuously targeting civilians across the LoC.

Seventh, in its bid to hurt the neighbour, Modi has launched a fully funded campaign against CPEC in Pakistan.

Eighth, the BJP government led by Narendra Modi has upped the funding for Daesh and Baloch militant groups for their terrorist activities in Pakistan.

Ninth, because of Modi's attitude towards other neighbours, the BJP government is not fondly remembered both in Kathmandu and Colombo.

According to foreign media, more jobs have been lost in India than created in three years. It was also reported that the richest 1 percent of Indians continue to own during the three years of Modi’s government a staggering 58.4 percent of the country's wealth, which is much more than China. It has also been reported by a Middle Eastern broadcaster, quoting the Credit Suisse Group, that 96 percent of the adult Indian population has wealth below $10,000. It said that on the other hand, a small fraction of the population (just 0.3 percent of adults), has wealth over $100,000, which translates to roughly 2.4 million people. It also reported that in 2015, under Modi, India could attract only $44 bn in foreign investment or 2.5 percent of the world FDI inflows, lagging far behind China ($250bn), Hong Kong ($181bn), Singapore ($65bn) and the US ($380bn).

Meanwhile, the antics and comical displays put up by the leader of 1.3 billion Indians while meeting foreign leaders have become part of history. Some foreign leaders forcibly hugged by Prime Minister Modi still shudder at his outrageous embrace, which defied diplomatic norms and protocols.

Economic growth, FDI inflows, power generation and distribution, highway construction, stock markets and almost all other indices are at historic peaks under Modi government. In fact BJP which has always believed to be party of pro-industry and upper and middle-cast rich has successfully reinvented itself as a pro-poor one with initiative such as electrifying and connecting every village, free LEDs, free LPG connections, free bank accounts to poor and much more. Also demonetization has gone down very well with poor as an attack on the rich and corrupt. All this only in 3 years. Historic ills such as income-disparity and more with take couple of decades and not just 3 years to set right.

All surveys have shown Modi's popularity to have grown in the last 3 years, not to mention sweep after sweep of elections by BJP
