If we talk as a whole, statistically and historically most of the popular pubs have been located in East London and Central London neighbouring east side of London.

Brick lane is a gem of place, ideal for real estate tycoons who bought land to raise 30-100 floor building around that area. It has nothing to do with Muslims but let me assure you, despite that most of the pubs still exists around Brick Lane. Shoreditch and Liverpool Street are walking distance from Brick Lane, all famous for underground dancing clubs, even drugs is easily available and centuries old pubs. I can name some of them without googling if you say I have worked around that area for a few days and always driving to that area on car

When you talk about Waltham Forest as a whole, it has countless pubs but if you mean to say Muslim concentrated areas of Walthamstow and Chingford I would say again, the property value in those areas has been booming by 10-20% each year which means many people prefer to convert such pubs into 5 storey flats and double their income within 1-2 year so the real estate boom has reduced number of pubs from uk regardless of the local population's affiliation of faith and still these areas has pubs, just some of them no longer exists for the same reason that also applies in Norwich or Great Yarmouth, UK where you find Muslims on map.

Also the cultural pubs has reduced, it doesn't mean they do not exist, the also have been transforming their business into various new ventures such as hiring an office style building and opening a pub at middle floor but it really works for them.

Great post, which shows there can be no denying the economic successes brought in the hard work of the immigrant, but it is also fair to note that this also plays into the increasing tensions in the areas.

the only place I recognize has 'muslim' problem is luton, bit far from london. Its bad because right wing extremism feeds extremism in muslims and vice versa. Its definitely not one sided.

people down sought are too stubbon and werid. up north you can be assured your safe. the specific are im from (lancashire) is very nice. no one can complain. i went to london for an intel show featuring new tech and the city it self was horrible. the people are unfriendly, and get annoyed very quickly. the show was great and i planned to stay the night but the city put me of . i was on the next train back to preston. at the end of the show. and the worst thing was if i stayed i would have got 20% off the 18 core xeon processors!!!! which i was annoyed about.

lolz.. not stubborn.. its a big city so impersonal.. nobody will bother you but don't expect love and small talk from strangers. It does not mean people will not help you, but you have to ask, may be more than 1 person sometimes.
