I disagree here. Hindustani was a regional term then not a national one. Many workers were ordinary hindus but the one who built it was muslim. The reality is Hindus will always have either a negative view of it or will try to create an image of it linked to Hinduism which you are doing now. Its how peoples psyches work. The best way is for each of us to be egalitarian about it and leave each religions site to the followers of that religion.

In short we should not try to claim your mandir and you should not our mosque. Different views on it can be expressed though as each one of us thinks differently and with his or her own lens of religion.

We stand in awe before that which cannot be seen. We respect with every fiber of our being that which cannot be explained.

Workers never get the respect they deserve . The money and idea behind the thing might be of the owner but its these ordinary workers who brought those ideas to Life .

Muslim rulers called India ( Sub Continent ) , Hindustan ( Persians ) Al Hind ( Arabs ) .
We respect Akbar and Sher Shah Suri . Bharata Ashoka and Akbar are our great leaders . Pakistanis whether believe it or not share this history too . I don't want to be in a self denial for the rest of my life .

There are two ways to make a line shorter, first way is to erase it second way is to draw another line longer than it.

Indian way is the second, Akshardham temple is an attempt to create a better history than Taj Mahal. For example many countries like Turkey and Pakistan have moon on their flag, but India send its flag on moon,Chandrayaan. Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan are attempts to create a history that will diminish previous histories.

Yes, we would like to create a history, by making a monument that will outshine Taj mahal.
