What's new

This photo of a Bangladeshi couple kissing in rain went viral – and got the photographer assaulted

Honestly if a couple kiss in public they're doing it willingly
Yes it is, although it is condemnable in Bangladesh standard.
However still one thing, we all know that most of couples do that, when last time you have visited BD? Did you visit DU area? DU area, diamondi Lake, botanical garden bla bla bla... Couples special go for time pass lying one's lap and of course they kiss.
But the real problem is why someone will snap a photo and upload it without their permission ?
This trend should be stopped as couples go there for privacy as they mostly can't room date in BD.
Honestly some goes to litoner flat ( লিটনের ফ্ল্যাট) you know what is it right ?
So Bangladeshi Muslim couples are not firishta by default , they just can't do pre marital sex excessively because men can just enjoy the girl and can leave , or the risk of social problem.

That's why they go to such places of course kissing( and surely fondly, and other sexual pleasure ;as they want privacy not to stare at each other like laily majnu , or to recite romantic poems ! )is a main thing in this fact as most of them don't have room date chance.

So why anyone should snap a photo and make it viral? Who Gave him the permission?
It's just voyar behavior of this photographer, and that is a crime.
Some may show the law, but the reality is Bangladesh doest run with government laws but with social laws and such act are condemnable in society , so this photographer just breach their privacy and it's a crime.
If someone tease another men's girl friend , will be kiss this teaser or will beat him? So in order to stop mob justice , Bangladesh law should be strong and if those skiing couple can complain to police and police will not react wrongly and not harass them, then no mob justice will happen .
This mob justice happened just because of absurd and incomplete laws of Bangladesh.

PS: I am not talking about right or wrong , I am just stating the reality.

My point in the conversation has more to do with the kissing in public rather than the photo taking itself. If the photographer did capture it without their permission then yes, there should be consequences for that. The actual point has to do with the topic of public affections which UKBengali was against and wanted them fined for. I agree that if he took it and wanted to post it without their permission he deserves some sort of punishment that I agree with you. And yeah, I've seen kissing in public in certain areas the last time I was in Dhaka.
