What's new

This is Why Islamabad is Better Than Lahore and Karachi

The reason is coastal cities have humid air which carries sea spray that accumulates on the walls of buildings. Lack of rain causes this to form thick layers. The air density is high due to water molecules hence the pollution level increases. This is visible at night from miles when approaching from the sea.
What about heaps of garbage and dust on the ground and roads? Is there can excuse for not cleaning the ground as well?

Public transport is there but it can not cope up with the population. Circular railway is non functional otherwise it would have taken most of the traffic.
I did not notice many good buses with predesignated routes in Karachi.

The problem of plants is there because every place is being constructed as the population is growing by the day.
Lahore is also expanding by the day. Water supply remains good nonetheless.

Water flows from North Karachi is South so water scarcity is natural. Soil water is sea water as Karachi is mostly reclaimed land from the sea.
Build a plant to address this problem, my friend. Don't give me excuses.

Lahore is not as clean as it used to be 15 years back.
This is due to construction work in different parts of the city. You cannot control the flow of dust while mega-projects are in progress. Nonetheless, Lahore is much cleaner than Karachi. Government invests money in cleaning roads and vice versa here.

It lacks taxis it is all Riksha and Ching chi.. Tanga were replaced by riksha and now they are the masters.
Excuse me! Taxi services are available in Lahore. But you need to make a call.

When I reached Lahore through a Train, I hired a Taxi to take me home.

Don't expect a Taxi moving around in the roads. Petrol is not cheap in our country.

The metro is only for Ferozpur road...till they connect it with the other city it does not fulfill the requirement.
Metro already covers many areas. It is a blessing for those who live in surrounding areas.

However, we are getting Orange Metro and Blue Metro in the near future that will cover additional areas. Beat it.

Other than Metro, we have high quality bus services with predesignated routes across the city. I have utilized public transport in Lahore for years and I have never been disappointed.

Don't make silly assumptions.

You were talking about superior planning of Lahore...soon Gujranwala will be added to Lahore already DHA Lahore has almost reached Wagha...
DHA phase 7 is close to border but behind Barki:

Lahore-City-Map.jpg

DHA is not expanding towards the border any more. The city will now expand towards the West.

Without personal car one can not travel from Baharia Town to DHA as there is no clean public transport...So much so for your superior planning.
Because roads are under construction. These areas will be linked in the near future through Ring Road and others.

Yes, Lahore benefits from superior planning than Karachi. Deal with it.

.
Karachi has turned into a Sewer .. it has messed up roads , open sewers, full of crime , super mad & most unorganized traffic , city parks are a garbage dumb .. There is no comparison with any other city

Don't worry the rest are trying their best to match Karachi in near future it would be the same situation

Agreed....but we Karachiites deal with every ethnicity of Pakistan as everyone is here in Karachi.....but yes, we should do more travelling...:-)

Wrong Karachiites are all almost same the way the speak and in many other daily dealings................. even sometimes you have problems believing that you just met a pushtoon living in Karachi.

.
Then don't come to Karachi and stop your people too from coming over here.......keerey nikalna asaan hai har cheez me, reality accept karna mushkil....

This garbage dustbin provides everything to Pakistan, don't take Karachi for granted...
No body questions the importance of Karachi, but we are discussing the lack of infrastructure and poor condition of Karachi city m

Islamabad is a beautiful city, but culturally bland. Lahore and Karachi surpass Islamadad in many factors. Even my small city of Bahawalpur has more of an atmosphere than Islamabad.

Getting ready for butt hurt Isloo kids. Lmao
