Islamabad's citizens follow a more western lifestyle compared to people from other cities . if you don't bother them they won't bother you . Very aloof. Mostly the elite's live there and they cant't be bothered with what's happening around them , too busy in their own life. For hospitality I would Nominate Peshawer . I maybe biased because i am a pashtun myself

No that in not completely based off bias. I lived there for 2 years and the people were quite hospitable; if a little too nosy and judgemental. But, no one is perfect.

Aesthetically speaking Islamabad is one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. Its tree lined streets , Grand houses ,wide roads , Traffic rules abiding citizens makes it a delight to live in . Very few cities in the world look as pretty as islamabad after rain .

Never been to Pakistan but would like to know on what basis people here claim Lahore as better than other cities say Karachi? Coastal cities IMO are always better.

In Karachi, you will notice buildings everywhere but the environment is dusty. Greenery is utterly lacking. Public transportation services are lacking. Water supply is also poor. As soon as you leave the airport, you will get the impression of a cramped environment and lack of planning (if you are coming from a better city).

Lahore benefits from superior planning. Superior road infrastructure. Superior public transportation services. Greenery in many areas. Superior water supply services. Cultural heritage and other attractions. Areas surrounding the airport are particularly well done; lots of greenery, feeling of openness, great buildings and excellent road infrastructure.

Well to be honest with all of you guys, No other City can beat the taste of Karachi, I must say the food is simply amazing, from Baryani to Nihari from Haleem to Murgh Musalam you name the dish and will experience the best taste ever. Recently I had a chance to explore the entire Lahore city and I was bit disappointed, because the taste I was looking for I must say Lahore wasn't even close to it, Islamabad I must say would be much better in food taste than the Lahore is in these days. I tried Baryani in almost every single famous place in Lahore and I asked myself that I must quit now, otherwise I will start hating this fabulous dish which is my favorite of them all. Nihari was completely different than what I had eaten in Karachi, in Lahore they use way too much of a Desi Ghi touch and I believe most of us do not like to have a desi Ghi in every single dish, right? My friends on the other hand who are Lahoris indeed, were enjoying it so much that I was looking at their faces that when would someone speak a word about the Desi Ghi being used in this amazing dish. From a Channa Chat to a Dahi Baray and from Samosa to a kachori nothing tasted like I always dreamed off about the greatness of Lahori food. And that Chaman Ice Cream literally sucks. But their was only one thing that I enjoyed drinking in Gawal Madi and that was a Paira Lassi, the guy spent almost 30 mins in making it, or should I say in creating it. He was washing his hands too in it, I do not know why the heck he was doing it, but, I had to drink that otherwise my friend was going to assassinate me as it took me almost an hour to decide what do I want to drink. Anyway beside that guy was washing his hands in that Lassi Jar with the milk or Lassi itself it was extremely tasty. I never had that kinda drink before.
And yes, I need almost a million words to describe the Karachi cuisine, you simply cannot beat it. No matter wherever you go in Karachi, I mean from Malir Halt to Nipa from Sadar to Kimari, from Gulshan Iqbal to Nazim Abad you will find an awesome taste in every single dish you try to eat. And Islamabad is not bad either by the way, their are restaurents that serve quite a fabulous food, but prices are always high.

Where did I accept Karachi lags behind from Lahore/Islamabad......Infrastructure of Karachi became mess due to Sindh Government, it is still quite good although needs up gradation....

Its people who make cities vibrant...People flock to Karachi because opportunities are here and people are open minded...We are professional bunch whole country admires....Despite having less than 10% population of Pakistan, we did a lot for Pakistan...(just mentioning our contributions, definitely not done any favor on Pakistan)

We have everything except our good representation in deep state government...We are everywhere in Pakistan working for it individually but collectively we still need to do a lot.....

Lahoris are alike villagers...We Karachiites have been living in cities for centuries....Hell a lot difference in culture and people...

When we were ruling city under Mustafa kamal, everyone had seen what Karachi became....losers not ready to do something for Karachi nor allowing anyone to do themselves...
