What's new

This is the Turkish Akıncı

Artificial Intelligence Technology

AKINCI UCAV will have 6 multi-core Artificial Intelligence Computers which will be able to collect information by recording the data received from sensors and cameras on the UCAV through artificial intelligence computers

This artificial intelligence system that can detect the angle of tilting, standing and heading of the UCAV without the need for any external sensor or GPS

It will also provide environmental awareness using geographic information and advanced artificial intelligence system will have decision making feature by processing the data it obtains

Bin atlı o gün dev gibi bir orduyu yendik.

Thousand horses beat a giant army that day.

in 2014 You told to me on my youtube video that Turkish UAVs are so small and nothing to compare with Israeli UAVs

and I told to you that in the next 5 years Turkiye will develop UCAV which will be even better than all Israeli UAV-UCAVs

then you told to me that you are living in your fantasy world

RESULT : AKINCI UCAV

I think, this is the most important scene of the documentary.

Yeah, about that.. I don't know how successful they will be making an Unmanned Fighter Jet with the resources they have. In the video, we can see the rudimentary methods they use to test G forces.

Let's take Hurkus for exampled, granted TAI Hurkus is a manned aircraft but still...

High G unmanned fighter will need to have extended load tolerance...

But I'm no Aviation expert, just expressing my opinion...

Also i am not an aviation expert but akinci has 20 m wings span and its wing design is for its purpose. Long endurance medium altitude but heavy ucav.
Unmanned aircrafts are much more easy task than making an manned 5th gen or 6th gen fighter in designing and building the aircraft but they are less capable than manned ones for today. Increasing in robotus tech and AI, this will not go on soo long.
I am sure they develop their production and designing methods due to increasing tech of their products.

I get you... Do you remember this old news where Baykar was going to spend 600 Million Lira in their facilities.

However, a fighter jet is a whole different story, enduring greater G forces and flying at greater speeds, it will be a whole new level for them.

I mean, not only G Forces - but how are they going to count for supersonic speeds as well, which I'm sure they are going for. TAI didn't have the knowledge, as a whole in Turkey we didn't have much knowledge in this field nor the computer power to simulate stresses, vibrations and heat associated with it, we went to BAE systems to for their expertise in this field and other engineering aspects...

Anyway, as Baykar Technologies has shown us, they continue to surprise us with their ability to overcome challenges. Looking forward to MIUS.

I believe Baykar will take help of TAI to solve the problems of some engineering disciplines When It was needed. I don’t remember where this conversation took place but I remember Mr Temel KOTIL had told some kind of cooperation at a reportage. Bayraktar MIUS unmanned jet fighter (I expect something similar to Northrop X-47) will have a speed not more than 1000km/h but It is TAI that is working on a supersonic drone. After TAI revealed Anka+, They will finish two different drone program (If nothing changed) A wingmen supersonic drone and Goksungur Jet powered subsonic drone. I expect Goksungur will be more or less similar class with Predator-C.

My observations regarding Selchuk Bayraktar, the brains behind these UAVs:
  • He is 40 years old. It’s the make or break point
  • A natural leader capable of team working. But, he’s the Boss no doubt about that
  • An A+ engineer who’s after A+ work. You can’t do a C graded job while working under him
  • Doesn’t take a NO as an answer. You can’t just go home and sleep if the job doesn’t get done
  • Sets his goals high and doesn’t lower them
  • Has got the singularity of purpose. Won’t just give up
  • Knows how to emotionally attach his subordinates to his objectives. His passion becomes also their passion

They have made a JV with the Ukranians for a reason....

Imagination is more important than knowledge - Albert Einstein

Great name.
Babur Han had 6K men under him. With the horseback raiders, match-locks and cannons he defeated 100K strong forces! Only 17 Turkic horseback raiders conquered Bengal - one of the richest places of that time - without chopping a single head off.....

The fast charging Afgan horseback raiders put the final touch in the Third Battle of Panipat as they galloped through the Maratha lines cutting them into pieces...

You should design and develop a potent platform that will be solid like a rock If you charge a “Muharip”/Fighter role into an aircraft. Sensor payload should be very advanced to fight with other manned/unmanned aircrafts and ground based threats. “Muharip” means primarily air superiority aircraft by neutralizing the enemy aircrafts, bombers so It must have a stealth design. Muharip aircrafts can be used to suppress enemy air defense batteries and radars as well.

On the other hand, I believe Goksungur will be a jet powered attack/combat aircraft. Combat aircrafts are equipped to strike ground or naval targets. This might include providing close-air support for friendly troops via the destruction of heavily armored enemy forces, elimination of enemy anti-air batteries or strategic percision destruction of high-value enemy targets.

Akinci is the turboprop based unmanned combat aircraft with limited air to air engagement capability. I think Goksungur will be the faster brother of Akinci.

TAI’s supersonic wingmen drone. They will carry electronic warfare sensors to suppress enemy radar and air defense batteries. The drone will introduce itself like big target something similar to a fighter (F-4/16) for enemy radars while applying the electronic jamming technics on them. While enemy SAM batteries are struggng to deal with them, Tf-X will have a safe corridor to perform its mission effectively. These drones will have a speed of 1600km/h.

Turkey will change the future of conflicts with these programs.

.
Looking at Akinci being a two engine drone, what is the heat signature like? It looks like the engines it has are larger than normal drone engines.
