Well, at the end of the day, those are just story, and we should take it in with a grain of salt, when you ask the story teller were he/she there, they always say they hear it from someone else, and that goes a long way, but still, that's ALOT of story like this in Afghan. Basically both these groups are based on Taliban recruiting and organization method, except serving American interests and targeting Muslims instead.
