No, indian brands also mostly use Chinese components, so does other countries' brands.

Chinese smart phone companies have little competition with indian brands, the latter focus on phones less than $100.
But if you look at the following breakdown of each brand, the success of VIVO and OPPO rely on middle-end phones, mostly $200-400. These Chinese phone companies have very few competition with indian brands, but with brands like Samsung and Chinese brands themselves.

Middle-end Chinese phone OnePlus (a subsidiary of OPPO) to Indians is definitely high-end phones, considering their very low purchasing power (No PPP to be accepted to buy phones)

As for Apple, it earns 20% of revenue from China. Despite the unfair trade practices and favoring home grown smartphones. Which at times copies the apple design. Apple still manages to survive.

Apple tends to fluctuate as history shows. Apple grows popular in some segments of the market, then collapses as its popularity withers away.. this has always been the case for Apple. However in the last 10 years, Apple has shown tremendous growth like never seen before, however, this doesn't mean they will remain consistent with this growth for another 10 years as markets change and demands change.

Chinese brands have a competitive edge in terms of pricing, that is true. What they don't have is, brand recognition like Apple has. This is something the Chinese brands need to work heavily on if they are to take Apple head in the world.

Today in China, Apple is popular in teenage girls. In business society, most people use Huawei or Vivo.
I don't know why it turn out this way, but it is the reality. One factor may be most domestic phone can have 2 sim cards which is more useful in business world.

I can say that everybody copied Steve Jobs. After that, they are all on their own. Today's Chinese phones have some features which iphone doesn't have. Everytime I turn on my light bulb, do I have to be fell shame because the light bulb was made from a company who copied Thoms Edison?

Your regard for intellectual property is laughable. And it's interesting to note that the brand iPhone is sole property of a Handbag company in China. And essentially making companies to buy those brand name, by paying millions of dollars.

This goes to everything from Phones to cars.

And interestingly Einstein still gets paid for the patent he filed. When his works are used by any companies.

Don't lecture me on intellectual property right. I used to work in an US pharmaceutical company. India is the country which ignores the drug patents of western companies. Our company invented a new drug and next year India produced a generic version and put it on the market. I can say Indian stole something from me. But that’s OK for me as long as it can save life. But just don’t keep calling other people copycat. In today’s international trade environment, if Apple, or Facebook, or any western company feels that their right has been violated, they can sue the person even in China. I believe that they wouldn’t hesitate to do that. Since no such law sues floating around, you don’t have to the right to accuse someone who is innocent.

Problem for Chinese smart phone brand is they are too hang up on Chinese market, where most of where their phone were sold to, was reading an article saying Huawei sold around 48 millions phone worldwide in 2016 (Compare to some 120 millions from Apple and 240 millions from Samsung) but around 60% of those sold are within China. Huawei being World number 3 phone seller is basically boosted only by Local sale. The lacking of international market for Chinese phone is what damaging the Chinese Phone manufacturer. Because Chinese Market is heavily protected by Chinese government, and by comparing how Chinese phone being sold in China would gave the Chinese company false sense of security, as we saw how the American Phones goes in the 90s. Which basically was killed off by a small Finnish Company called Nokia.
