This year China has cleared out a huge US spy network, destroying the entire operation.

I think this is also retaliation action made by China gov although she does violated chinese visa laws,and i bet a lot of foreigners did the same things,work illegally as English teacher while they do not even have a decent degrees.
China gov is usually keep an eye closed for those things unless drugs are involved.
