Yes, weather in Pakistan is marvelous all year round and the intelligent drivers are so expert that there are no crashes, as the thread says, another thing to miss about Pakistan while in USA. :D

I miss these typical Rants

when challenged for doing something wrong ..........dont you know I am ?
when asked to follow the rules, fall in line etc ............dont you know my father?
when denied entry, not given favour ..........................I will have you dismissed

on the pleasant side I miss the famous wall adverts and transporter poetry / phrases

  • چور کے پتر ٹول بکس خالی ہے
نجومی ایس ایس کاضمی بنگالی بابا
سکھ نال نسیب دے کھیر نال جا
    دیکھ مگر پیار سے

    on the food front
  • Tuka Tuk
  • channa / fruit chaat on the road side cart (with added flavour of the environment)

I found this funny gonna post it in stupid and funny section enjoy:

Sorry had to google that :ashamed:
wow very authentic and funny
the only believable bit is that the American captain can speak Spanish

. .
Can you not miss your life's little tidbits while living there?

If you go through the posts, you'll know how posters are comparing living in Pakistan with living in USA. and that is what i don't want.

That is exactly why I posted the definition of nostalgia to help keep the thread on track. People miss experiences from their past, just like the OP did.

All three in one is that Lordship who complained about being inconvenienced by cantt military checkpoints. Idiot raised to the third power: Idiot cubed. Only in Pakistan! :D

indeed the lordship were inconvenienced and everyone lived

at least it was much better outcome than the one where terrorists managed to bully their way in few years back under the guise of judges and lawyers and exploded bombs

My top 10 list, in no special order:

1. Walking in Lawrence Gardens on a hot summer's night.
2. Crossing the Chenab in full flood on the old bridge at Chiniot while a train passed underneath.
3. Watching wild peacocks in Kallar Kahar.
4. View of Murree in the morning sun from my window after a heavy snowfall.
5. Pakistan winning the Olympic Gold Medal in Field Hockey.
6. The dhols and naray baazi on Basant.
7. Driving up to Lowari Top in a little Suzuki.
8. Buying fresh gajras from street vendors at traffic lights.
9. Langar at Data Darbar.
10. Chand Raat in Anarkali Bazar.

You do know Hijab doesnt mean face cover ....it means covering try browsing those verses I gave

they talk about covering / concealing and veiling....my problem with your post was that you literally claimed that hijab is not part of Islam ...Hijab is in the Quran it is a word that is part of Islam for being in the Quran....What you are confusing is face veil...THAT is NIQAB

hence your post is way wrong!

Since I am no scholar I am not going to fight about petty things which wont bother one....Minimum requirement was already told by Prophet and I dont find anyone a bigger scholar than the prophet :enjoy:
I was specifically talking about hiding face behind a veil and you know it very well. I care least what it is called, hijab, or niqab, or bullshit, though 'hijaab' clearly means hiding. I hate when you opt for verbose to prove yourself right AT ANY COST. Post after post I was arguing (with Zarvan) against hiding face and yet you came up with this post just to satisfy your little ego. At this point of time it maybe ok but in later part of your life, this behavior/attitude will cause lots of problem to you.

The reverse list, things to miss about USA, while in Pakistan, is far simpler. :D

Hiding also means body...same hiding was also used in the Quran to hide other things so I am sorry I didnt get you coz you used the wrong word and cant be bothered with the correct one! There is a reason ALLAH didnt use SOME words in SOME places in the Quran....

Our common Mullah also doesnt care what word he uses for whom....Kindly be careful for not to end up like that which you hate (the common Mullah)

There is nothing for me to prove here...I would have agreed with you 100% had you said the word Niqab is not in the Quran! I already showed I agreed when I told off Zarvan but apparently you seem to think something else

You used the Quran, so I suggest you at least get your words right!

Post after post I was arguing (with Zarvan) against hiding face and yet you came up with this post just to satisfy your little ego.
I was quoted in 1 post and NO I didnt read all your posts which had nothing to do with the topic..I still told Zarvan off about the niqab yet you have some form of victim complex going on!

What ego do I have? YOUR argument with Zarvan had NOTHING to do with me...He mentioned me to ask for backup but I didnt back him up regarding face covering but I did tell you that the word you used was not right!

You are the one arguing for the sake of arguing to prove what?

. At this point of time it maybe ok but in later part of your life, this behavior/attitude will cause lots of problem to you.
Kindly do a check on your behaviour and attitude...WHAT exactly did I say wrong? If you were calling a bacteria a virus I would still have pointed it out and if someone was calling it a multicellular organism I would not side them.....and an equivalent of that just happened here!

Engaging you is wasting one's time.

I still dont get it what did I do wrong? Pointed out you cant differentiate between Hijab and Niqab? THAT isnt a matter of life and death...Apparently some ego was bruised hence your blasting...
You yourself proclaimed you cant care and dont care but declaring Hijab is not in Islam is absolutely wrong....Esp when the word itself is in the Quran....THE DAY you can explain that to me will be the day you can proclaim shit like my ego, my attitude and my behaviour! How about give yourself a good check on each of these for a start...If you can put forward even 1 MISTAKE I am always ready to apologize BUT a person practicing psychological projection (yes coz each of the things you said about me is a reflection of you as per this situation) is never exactly someone worth my time ....

Yet I am the one who came with reference tried to understand where you were coming from but no there is no pleasing someone with all the problems you so called projected about me!

.
I am confused here. Is this thread about nostalgia, or a religious one?
