Don't know what fantasy have to do with my post but anyway.
Yes the BBC Pashto service mostly uses central dialect and their vocabulary and terminology can be hard to understand even for Afghan Pashtuns because they use formal language. Secondly the Pashtuns in Pakistan use alot of Urdu and English terms and the Pashtuns in Afghanistan use Farsi and Arabic terms so they both have slight differences but still mitually intelligible.
