I always thought stable democracy in USA came from their constitutional right to own weapons. You can not coerce civilians to do something who are highly armed, the only option left is cooperation with the civilians.. but now it seems Americans want to do away with their right to own guns, this might lead tutalitarian tendency in their government...

I wonder what would happen if one day we wake up and find out USA has been taken over by their own military and martial law has been imposed.

American police have the right to shoot and kill you if they have a slight hint that you pose a threat, so even pulling out a wallet to show them your ID can be dangerous.. So I don't deny that some of our police officer are just thug with a gun, and should be avoided at any cost..

People in here defend the brutality of the police force? Incompetent police in California tazers students protesters in U.C Berkley and cost US taxes payers over millions dollars for the compensation of police used the excessive force on protester, and the jokes on the US taxes payer which had to pay over 35K in a worker comp. to the police because he suffer mental anguish from the harassment he received after the tazers incident.
