'They are Northeastern people not Bangladeshis', says Karnataka Home Minister

Well, in the case of Assam, those doubtful citizens will definitely have to furnish acceptable documents verifying that they, or their forefathers were legal residents of the Indian state prior to 1971 failing which they will be considered aliens. What exactly will happen to them is still under consideration, but it is believed that they will be stripped off their political rights and incarcerated, till they are repatriated to Bangladesh. But the bright side is the legal residents can from then onwards lead life with dignity without any one taunting them as 'toi Mia ne Axomia' meaning are you a BD Muslim or an Assamese.

Maybe, the rest of India should follow suit.
I hope you will find your dignity back soon. If you moved to India after 1971, do consider to coming back, but ofcourse with cash. ;)

The minister is a a congressi who will lie to protect his beloved hilsaphiles. The reality is we've taken a survey and found millions of these scum bonging around the North East. The Centre is most likely going to close the Siliguri so they can't bongomigrate into the rest of India, and then begin their de-bongoing campaign.
Survey...!!
The last time I heard everybody in NE submitted documents claiming them to be Indian.

1. 7.3% was last year. BD government estimates nearly 8% for this year based on first 9 months figures.
BD infrastructure and political instability in the past was holding back growth and this is no longer the case.
Nope!

1. For year FY 2015-16, it was 7.113 (http://www.bbs.gov.bd/site/page/dc2bc6ce-7080-48b3-9a04-73cec782d0df/Gross-Domestic-Product-(GDP))

2. For year 2016-17 it was 7.28 (http://bbs.portal.gov.bd/sites/defa...3a6_6daec3853586/Rev3_GDP_2016_17_Website.pdf)

3. For Year 2017-18, it is projected to be 7.65
http://bbs.portal.gov.bd/sites/defa...ic Product (GDP) of Bangladesh 2017_18(p).pdf

I do not know where are you getting this 8%? 7.65% and 8% are not same in economic growth.

2. He is the most senior politician in a state of Karnataka, which is one of the most economically successful states in the whole of India. These mythical "illegal BD" hordes would be heading to his state first after entering India.
What does being economically successful have to do in national politics? The guy has no clout in Indian national politics.
Besides, Karnataka is not exactly the 'most successful' economically. That will be Maharashtra or Delhi in both GDP and GDP per capita and in GDP per capita is will be behind a lot of states.

.
It is a blatant lie that our fellow BD users are spreading. Buddhists and Hindus flee/had fled Bangladesh after facing immense religious persecution and not due to economic opportunities, and none of them will ever have a fleeting thought about returning back permanently. Though many of them do visit as tourists as they have extended relatives in BD and some return to revisit their nostalgia and their desher bari(ancestral house) if they were not razed already.

Vai, kemon asen? Chinte paren nai, ami sei bharotiyo bangal. Aami to aite parum na, kaje byasto. Kintu apna go koyekjon re jaroor pathaimu. Bhalo thaken..

7.65% rounded is 8% and that is what I meant. BD growth is only getting higher every year.

Delhi is just a city.
Maharashtra has high GDP/capita because of Mumbai and the rest of the state is poorer than Karnataka.

Like I say if India was being overrun by "illegal BD'shis", Karnataka would be one of the worst hit. The Minister has already been called a liar by one of your fellow Indian posters. Will you do the same?

.
Yes, calling Indian state Ministers liars is the only thing you can do now.
No-one cares what butt-hurt PDF trolls say and this Minister has more influence than any PDF troll can ever imagine.

Frustrated you're about to get 20 million more banglers?! Looks like you're going to have to share that hilsa even more

Then you need to know that in economic growth, you don't just round off percentages growth! Most economic think tank adjust growth percentage by 2 significant decimal points. A change of 0.35% in growth is a major thing. 0.35% of a 230 billion dollar economy will be atleast 700 million dollars! Thats a hell lot of jobs and a hell lot of companies.

Now as far as India goes, India is growing from a very large base compared to BD and has been out growing even in terms of rate for quite some time. Meaning same extra 1% growth in India will add many more jobs. There is a reason why 6.5% growth in China is HUGE compared to 7.2% growth in India.

Delhi is just a city.

Actually the 'worst hit' would be Assam and West Bengal for obvious reason. And yes he is a liar. He is a congress stooge trying to score brownie points with Muslim community and illegal immigrants in election bound Karnataka. Next month is the election.
