These Countries Poised To Become “Renewable Superpowers”

Rare earths extraction is not easy and the processes involved cause hi cancer incidence amongst miners thats why china currently dominates the market.
True that comes with huge environment cost, and the reason why Vietnam is hesitant to extract rare earth mines. We have large titanium reserves too, close to 600 million tons, worth probably more than $3 trillion. But again, not easy to tap the wealth without sacrificing the environment. Of course we need money too, to invest before we get a dollar out. I wonder how the Chinese manage it. They are the largest provider of both rare earth and titanium on the world market.

Who said millions of workers? Rare earth mining wouldnt have more than tens of thousands of wrokers And i never said that china is treating workers badly i dont even know all isaid was rare earth mining in any part of wolr is hazardous that is why other countries didnt mine their rare earth reserves. But china built an industry and if i am not wrong people in rare earth are paid little higher than miners of other metals. Anyways, read this

"Processing rare earths is a dirty business. Their ore is often laced with radioactive materials such as thorium, and separating the wheat from the chaff requires huge amounts of carcinogenic toxins – sulphates, ammonia and hydrochloric acid. Processing one ton of rare earths produces 2,000 tons of toxic waste;"

So whether vietman or china or usa does it their workers will suffer and environment too.

Also learn to discuss rationally and not put words into someones mouth which they had never said. Duh!

Almost all north Indians are familiar with the word, and resemble their cousins across the border in these respects, linguistic and hygienic. The rest of us have to acquire these linguistics and familiarise ourselves with those concepts of hygiene in order to communicate; given the tenor of your posts, it was clearly impossible to do without an identical outlook, as your very happy response very clearly confirms.

Dear Viet, are you an indian in disguise? The word "superpower" is synonyms to India :omghaha:

So what we need are machines that can extract the resources without risking the health of workers nor populating the environment.

Viola the dollar can flow to power our economy and our army.

It is truly impressive to see the level of geo-strategic sophistication suddenly visible and on display.
  1. They are sitting in Pakistan.
  2. They have billions because they didn't spend it it Pakistan; instead, they are cancelling and slowing down projects, because they simply can't figure out what happens to the money. That's why they have billions to spend.
  3. The US is proven stupid, otherwise they would get the Chinese interested in exploiting Afghanistan's natural resources, for the mutual benefit of Afghanistan and the PRC. Once that happens, expect the ISI to shut down its Afghanistan operations and meekly toe the higher than a mountain, deeper than the ocean, and sweeter than honey line. Don't expect any concessions to the Taliban; the Chinese showed what they thought of religion intruding into their national interest in Xinjiang.
Why do u have to do your Rundi Rona on every thing related to India or not :)
As for Afghnistan what could be is a dream and what is happening is a reality which is taliban controlling half of Afghnistan USA forces down to dew thousands and kabil regime near collapse :)

__________._....._______

Exposed workers who have spent at least a year in either metal mines or pottery factories were found to be nearly twice as susceptible to cancers of the nose and throat.

More than 23 million workers in China and more than 10 million in India are exposed to silica dust

We have long restricted rare earth exports. But US sued us at the WTO. We lost... Google it.
btw, don't worry. We are still a high - life country. The average life span - 76 years old. Google.

It is reassuring to read posts like this.

First, it is clear that you have no idea of what began and what followed; an unprovoked attack by one member is completely ignored, a rebuttal of that attack becomes Rundi Rona.

Second, it is good to know that what all the world has been saying about Pakistan supporting terrorism is true after all; your mail shows only too clearly where your loyalties lie.

Great job. Keep it up.

sounds good but no offense I see you have a huge problem. Turkey manufacturing is weak, you import too much, much more you export. that is not sustainable than in the long run. Turkey relies too much on foreigners to finance deficit and debts.

In contrast VN is on the move. Soon we will export more than Turkey and your friend Indonesia combined.
