I believed right from gitgo---that any time pak army decided to take this matter seriously, taliban would have no place to hide and no place to run.

People don't realize that this is the home turf of pak army---they just let them get away for so long---I believe that it was a poor judgement on part of Gen Musharraf to drag things on---. Pak army is not invading army---it is taking out the insurgency on the homw ground.

Two more senior leaders arrested---two senior leaderskilled---this is serious stuff---something is going to come out of this scenario pretty soon.

What about the rumors (also echoed in major US newspapers) that the US didn't want to arrest these people and Pakistan ruined their plans for a peaceful negotiation keeping Pakistan out.

Its funny if its true, its like now Pakistan is hunting the Taliban and the US is secretly hoping their leadership survives.

Then there is negotiation going on in between pak and Zahir Shah's grandson to find a way to have a power sharing deal with all the tribes of afg. Pak is also talking to the parties of northern alliance as well. It is reported that Karzai maynot be too happy with that.

Asim, there are one too many games being played at our expense and at the expence of afg.
