This thread has gone completely off-topic and is turning into yet another discussion about 1971, like everything else on this sub-forum. Please have a look.

Well yes. It is important to clear the concepts of certain young Bengalis who have been fed rubbish propaganda.

The Bihari friends that I have in Pakistan are doing very good rather better than they should have been, mostly these people parents are in some good businesses, same for the Bengalis as well, one of my father's friend(Bengali) due to being a Pakistani national and Army retired officer takes different contracts in UAE and KSA.

NOTE: One thing that I have seen in my real life than told by different people in PDF is quite different. There are many Bengalis and Biharis having very high style lives living here. Although in comparison this much I would say that I have never seen any Bihari doing low profile jobs but many Bengalis are doing low profile jobs due to being poor.

Bengalis / East Pakistanis were Pakistanis until 1971. After that the affluent ones went back however there were many cooks and servants of Bengali ethnicity when I was living in Pakistan. I always had a Bengali Cook while I lived In Pakistan and until recently so did my in –laws. My parents preferred to get someone from the village even though most would leave for a better job after a couple of years.

It is distressing to hear that these people are being treated badly. Suggest they should approach a sympathetic journalist to take up their cause and bring it to the notice of authorities

We had a Bengali maid a few years back very loyal and hardworking women. This I would say so far till now the Bengali people I have met are quite honest.

Bengalis in Karachi are Muslims. These are not from some Arab lands. There are from sub-continent with same race, culture, religion, history and were part of Pakistan prior to 1971 for gods sake.

It is not like Hindus from India are migrating to Pakistan. India has open borders with Nepal and has a policy of accepting non-Muslims from Pakistan too who wish to immigrate to India.

So I do not understand the problem here at all.

As far as india is concerned there isn't much propaganda in any way they can do against us, nor any political party in our country no matter how much love they have for india can they remove our hatred for india.

NOTE: The only propaganda if going on in any country successfully by their enemy state(india) is in Bangladesh through awami league. If we had more stakes in East Pakistan we should not have accepted any Bengali migrants after 1971 yet we did and nor did we do any cruelty or killing of Bengalis living in Pakistan. Unlike our eastern neighbours(india) who are well known for all sort of gruesome acts from raping to killing.

1)So what? They aren't stateless or persecuted. Just illegal immigrations.
2)"Arab lands" are geographically closer to Pak (take an hour from Makran to Oman by Boat).
3)How are we the same race? Are you stupid? I'm Baluch, I have more in common with Kurds than bangali. In Pak all of our ethnic groups are connected in one way or another and we don't have any "genetic" ties with 98% of India or 100% of Bangladesh.
3)What culture? The Bangladeshi have more in common with Hindus of west bangal or orrissa (India) than even Delhi Muslims.. let alone us Pakistanis.. we don't have same languages,same cultural festivals,similar clothes etc.. all we share is religion.
4)The only shared history Bangladesh has with us = Pashtuns (our people) ruled them and they supported creation of Pakistan.

Why don't you take them? You have more in common with them than anybody else!

All I see is Indians moaning about illegal Bangladeshis and whatnot.

We already host 3-6 million afghanis.

.5 million "others" from as far as Somalia.
We have hosted Bosnians and even Iranians (during their revolution and still have them). And many more.

How would you feel if we take away citizenship of Indian Muslims and ask them to go Pakistan? Well that's very disappointing when the thick skinned west are accommodating hundreds and thousands of refugees from all over the Muslim world even though they may be causing social problems they are still tolerated but our own Muslim countries can't even bear the brunt?

West doesn't take much refugees. USA take practically nothing looking at their size. Germany toke million or two but they will never nationalise them. Bangladeshis don't face any problem based on their ethnicity but being illegals.

Pakistan is poor country with population of over 200 million. Bangladesh is doing better now and bengali refugees can go back on their own.

Bengalis didn't chose Pakistan, they came after 1971 looking for jobs. Old ones are Pakistanis as any other.

The problem with Bengalis is they hate Pakistan, yet they find the same the most respect giving place on the planet earth. I had a chance of meeting Bengali elite in other countries, they literary hate us. But the poor Bengali is hording in Pakistan(as in India as well), Why? Pakistan is filled with "Razakars", and people begin to love Pakistan when they are done having kicks from all around the world. They should be grateful atleast we are not treating them as they are treating muslims from Myanmar.

Most biharis left BD after 1971 and moved to Pakistan, their population now is around 150,000 in BD. It's amazing how Pakistanis accepted Bengalis after 1971 even after atrocities committed by bengalis against Bihari people in east Pakistan. While Bangladeshis don't even accept back their own people.

Pakistan was open to everyone, from terrorists to labour. Anyone with few thousands rupees could get CNIC.

My sympathy for the Bengalis in question is based upon the simple fact that these were Pakistanis until 1971 and many took part in 1965 war with great courage & bravery. Needless to remind that PAF pilot Saiful Azam who shot down Israeli jets in 1967 was also a Bengali.

Both sides were equally guilty in East Pakistan atrocities. It is irrational to hate Bangla Deshis because they wanted to secede. Many Baluchi want to separate, there is also a Sindhu Desh movement, before that there was Bacha Khan’s Pakhtunistan call. Urdu speakers want separate Karachi province. So we should start hating all Baluchis, Sindhi nationalists, ANP supporters and MQM followers! Pray tell me, is Pakistan only for the Punjabis?

Undoubtedly most Bengalis in Pakistan are economic migrants but so am I in UK and millions of other Pakistanis in USA, Canada, Europe & the Middle East.

We have millions of Afghan refugees in Pakistan who were never “Pakistani” but politicians like Achakzai claim that Afghans have every right to remain in Pakistan. On the other hand Bengalis who were “Pakistani” until 1971 are denied the right with no politician ready to support them!

Good heavens! What have we become? It appears that the bigot Zia and his JI cronies in the attempt to make Pakistani good Muslims have turned us into narrow minded & prejudiced citizens devoid of “Compassion”.

But then who cares about humanity and kindness in a country where even angel like Abdus Sattaar Edhi had difficulty in finding a mullah to perform his funeral rites because he treated Muslims & non –Muslims with equal tenderness.

In my view, being a compassionate and kind human being is also incumbent on a good Muslim' Apparently, Salafis, Takfiris, LeJ & Taliban followers think otherwise. I leave it to my countrymen to decide what they would rather be.

2) Pakistanis see every separatist with the same opinion ' Mainstream yourself and lose the hate'.
3) Pakistanis see every illegal immigrant the same be they Afghans,Uzbek,Tajik,Somali,Martians,Plutians,Atlantisians or Bengalis. Stop with the victim card.
4) Both Pakistan and Bangladesh have moved on from 1971. It will help if you would too
5) And enough with the Muslim ummah. Pakistan first, we clear our home first, then we will see if there is a Ummah left after all.

Always Islam 1st. Pakistan first was a secular slogan first raised by Pervez Musharraf at the behest of the crusaders and enemies of Islam whose main objective is to turn Pakistan secular and sow seeds of hatred and secularism among Muslims and to divide Muslims along nationalist lines and destroy the Islamic foundations of Pakistan.
