Even if the US gives all it can to india, the results are going to be same as 1962! In 1962 india had the full backing from the US against China.

With all these talks about Pakistan military and ISI threatening a drop ties with the US and CIA, many think tanks in the US, I've noticed on TV, have started discussing an option that they feel ( and I agree) gives Pakistan its worse nightmare scenario. That being-

We know the US is never going to completely leave Afghanistan- they will have some semblance of troops there. But granting India total exclusive access in some areas and even as much as protecting its growth in Afghanistan is the worse possible outcome for the ISI and Pakistan military. After all-all this hedging of Haqquini network, support for taliban extremist played by Pakistan military and ISI- were specifically geared to keep Afghanistan out and away from Indian influence. India in their backyard deeply entrenched is a nightmare scenario for the India centric and paranoid Pakistan military.

Do you think / agree that this strategy holds some oomph! ?

And the biggest trump cards which peoples are forgetting................just imagine if the Pakistan Army and ISI turn their faces from US and start supporting Talibans against US and Nato in Pakistan and Afghnistan...........then beleive me India will be first to run away from Afghan's land behind US and NATO

India has finally woken up and realized that China cannot be defeated without massive casualties for India. So it readjusted to a more realistic posture -- stay neutral between a US-China conflict. This is why it rejected USA in MMRCA, the consequence is India rejected being part of "Asian NATO."

USA wanted India to join so badly that it even offered to ditch Pakistan and support India on Kashmir issue. But India realized that it would only be cannon fodder for USA in a war with Pakistan and China together. So India said "no" to the US.

Now the US is hurting very very badly and could collapse like the Soviet Union within a few years.

it aint gonna be that easy. Just see the terror that was on people of India after 26/11 attacks and now if India really sets its bases in Afghanistan, ISI is really gonna send terrorists to India this time. May be then you will realize what it is like when there is a breaking news everyday and when your economy collapses. .

India is much smarter than Pakistan. It will never allow itself to be dictated by the US on an overt offensive no matter how much they sweeten the pot. In any such scenario nukes will come into play ultimately.

It would be very best thing to happen for Pakistan's policy in Afghanistan, in my opinion - on the other hand, US know this and will not place their exit in jeopardy.

The Pakistan army in particular and the armed forces in general, have ensured that Pakistani civilian and policy makers will have to spend most of their time and energy trying to deflect this troublesome military, even to the point of bringing in outside powers as allies against the Pakistan Fauj --- yes, it it's absurd, and it's also reality, and US knows that while some in Afghanistan will not have gotten enough of spitting venom on Pakistan, India offer the parasite culture in Afghanistan, a outlet for expression, however, geo-political reality of India in Afghanistan, is instability and violence.

Aaah, the ''we have nothing to lose'' threat...

India is not intersted in getting into a slugfest with a desperate nation, its just not in our interest. Maybe some of you pretend to not recognize it, but your Army does, and hence their use of terrorists against us.

It taunts us, teases us and makes some of us mad, but those who matter see it for what it is, the invitation to a street brawl from one with already dirty clothes. We choose to laugh at the dirty clothes and respectfully decline.
