Arent you forgetting Mongol invasion ? What happened to Baghdad and other cities ?

doesn't matter... the civilization there continues and there are buildings there actuallythousands of years old.

but following your logic, what about greek, muslim and later european incursion into india?? in fact, what about aryan incursion into india??

If they are having family tree then there should be no problem.

Ancient Rig Vedic tribes were the first to introduce family trees and still we can found that in our region.

Why you think , India is known as the only living ancient civilization ?

Prize idiot. There go 1.4 billion Chinese.

Solution to Arab spring!

Most of the Arab societies have miserably failed to take advantage of the spring.

There are several reasons. But I blame the intellectuals who were quick to fan the flames of revolution but lacked hard work that is needed BEFORE launching revolutions.

The second group responsible for failure has been the leaders themselves.

Gaddafi should have immediately responded by stepping down after giving power to a caretaker government.

Instead he looked at his own people as terrorists.

And they say

Rest is history.

The arab culture is in need of a Renaissance. However, it has to from within and independent of external factors. A true awakening there would lead to reformation and have ripple effects even in south asia. However, globalisation and intertwining of countries will delay this..

The socialism and progress of the earlier decades in the Arab world fell due to a number of reasons. Leaders themselves didn't let go. If you want to change your nation, you should lead by example. Had Gaddafi vacated his position duly and ensured a peaceful change of leadership the system wouldn't have decayed.

on the contrary, that renaissance happened decades back.

most arab and muslim-majority countries since end of world war 2 saw fierce socialist/progressive activism ( including in pakistan ) and many of them became socialist countries that existed for decades until conspiracy by nato - most notably for us, afghanistan... did you know that indonesia saw massacre of 250,000+ communists, real sympathizers, suspected sympathizers between 1965 and 1966?? most of them would have been muslim.

if there is one society in history that needs renaissance badly, it is india.

I agree that India needs a renaissance. It shouldn't be forced on the public however. I can see it among the youth but we require economic progress to be sustained for decades and for it to penetrate down to the lowest strata first. Then things will fall into place.

Also, socialism best thrives after capitalism or where resources are a plenty. Else, we end up with Greece, Venezuela etc..

I also agree that NATO screwed up many of the Muslim and Arab countries by the rabid anti-communism. Unfortunately, that led to a resurgence of backwardness. Hence, the need for renaissance.

Besides, there wasn't any socialist regime in some crucial countries Saudi etc.

Cities were razed to ground and were again rebuilt and in reality Egypt kept the Islamic civilization after the mongol invasion and fought along with all the Arab tribes.

There was no aryan invasion of India according to Indian researchers because ancient Indians were themselves Aryans and even now dwelling

The Chinese have not maintained their ancestral faith.

We have.

Unbroken string from ancient times to today.

Whether you want to argue the place of faith in a civilization, the presence of an unbroken link pips the absence of it, every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
