12 SSBNs with 16 tubes is better than 8 SSBNs with 24 tubes.

China has even built 8 Type 094, so the quantity for the Type 096 will likely be 12.

Actually it has to do with the START treaty hence reducing the number of missile tubes. Just like reducing the number of Ohio class submarines from 18 to 14. 4 of those became SSGNs instead.

The CVN-79 AKA the USS John F. Kennedy will replace the CVN-68 AKA the USS Nimitz.

The CVN-80 AKA the USS Enterprise will replace the CVN-69 AKA the USS Eisenhower.

The CVN-78 and the CVN-80 belong to the Pacific fleet, and the CVN-79 belongs to the Atlantic fleet.
