Notice the slope in the front of the conning tower, very similar to the Virginia class.

Also, the Type 094G was mentioned to have the pump jet.

China should open up about these types of subs more. These are world ending subs, so they will, hopefully, never be put into action.

The key is to let the others know what you got. So publicity is more useful than secrecy for this particular weapon.

4 X Type 094 + 4 X Type 094G = 4 X 12 + 4 X 16 = 112 SLBMs

The next step is to build 12 Type 096, so 12 X 16 = 192 SLBMs

When the Type 096 is being deployed in large number, then the Type 094 will gradually be converted into the SSGNs.

Secrecy is important for defending underdogs.

Because China is the one with the clearest awareness of being an underdog.

Of course, with 10 nuclear supercarriers, 80+ Aegis warships, 70+ nuclear subs, everyone is an underdog in front of the US navy.

China in this case doesn't want to make too much noise that could potentially disrupt her development.

Can't wait for 096. With that hopefully, our underwater capabilities will finally get the recognition it should have had.

At least our Yuan class is doing quite well.

For Attack subs of course, you don't want too much information out there about it. But these subs are suppose to be for second strike. When even Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings are controversial, and that was ages ago, no nation would ever use again. This much is obvious, even if there were no retaliation possible.

These 094s are prestige weapons, their use are in their existence. Or else India wouldn't have made a sub that can carry a total of 4 of their K-4 missiles, and even that only has a range of 3,500 km.

I saw a documentary once about these subs on American networks, we can do that. Without showing too much, we can let the public know what can happen. A publicity stunt, exactly what these subs are designed for.

The JL-2A weighs about 57-58 tons, and its N15 propellant is even slightly better than the NEPE-75.

With the numerous successful launches in the recent years, the JL-2A has become operational, but it is just hard for the US to accept that there is a second country in this world is trying to catch her in this domain.

Fully agree with you. The reveal of DF-5B puts the speculation of China MIRV to end and show China nuclear strike capabilities.

Who knows next year they might do the same for SSBN?

The DF-5B represents the might of China's first strike capability, same for the DF-41.

The JL-2A represents the second strike capability.
