The whole Middle East was rejigged in WW1 to accommodate a Zionist state. The border were kept contentious so that Middle East can be reshaped or kept unstable for a long time for Zionist state to expand.

Pakistan plays for its interests but there is an understanding in Pakistan too not to get bogged down in Saudi wars. Its this reason we are not seen taking Saudi side in Syrian conflict or against Iran in general.
