The 543 MPs represent all 1.2 billion Indians in the national parliament. India does not have seperate religion based representation. The notion that only muslim MPs can and will serve the muslim constituents only, is very counterproductive to the muslim community on the long run.

There were 29 Muslim MPs in 2009 Lok Sabha, there 20 MPs this time, and that mind you not because they weren't given tickets, but because they lost their elections.

So 9 Muslim MPs is all it takes for India to become a Hindutvawadi Country from a secular one.
