The real reason why Saudi oil facilities were targeted. Its China silly..

Look, if you don't agree that China is not investing heavily in Iranian energy sector, that fine by me.

There is this analysis by esteemed author in DAWN who happen to be connected with Pakistan foreign policy, I am basing my finding as to what is happening in ME right now is to torpedo China ingress.

Iranian Mullah regime is lunatic and so are the majority of Persians you find on this forum , but even from their standards, I find it extremely unlikely that they will , at this point in time, when Iranian leader was planning a meet with Trump in UN and Chinese investment offered literally few days ago, will do any such act.

It got American deep state and Israel written all over it.
It's the timing that says it all!!! President Trump is being put under domestic pressure - women don't work for him, a hit is made on his wealth - to extract max from him in the ME!!! It's such a "text book" tactic...

but not in the cloak of darkness
You're always welcome to use "night vision" gadgets...

It's bizarrely plausible. If it were true, fine by me, as India will be left in a mess having nixed its trade in Iranian oil, allowing China to apparently fill that void.

On balance though, i find it hard to believe that China would wade into the USA-Iran conflict like this. This seems to be fanciful thinking. Yes China will invest and ignore the oil trade embargo, but why would it go one further and sabotage Arab oil when it really doesn't need to do such a thing as it is apparently able to use Iranian oil with impunity anyway?

If anything, to covertly provoke US attacks on Iran would be counterproductive to its economic interests in Iran.

So no, I don't see China's hand in this. It's just a routine, non-sexy false flag conspiracy by the usual neocon agents. I know the China idea would have been interesting, hence the clickbait article.

Indeed, China's statement trying to ease anti-Iran rhetoric and sabre rattling in the West is designed to protect its economic interests in Iran. China wants to trade with and via Iran - it doesn't want USA bombing them.

why do you laugh at prospect of peace between Iran and Saudi Arabia?

are you a Zionist then?

Not sure about you , but common sense would dictate that such news can be only classed a garbage, under present circumstances.

China can import virtually all of Iran’s oil and gas production. This could increase Iran’s oil exports manifold from 200,000 barrels per day at present to its full capacity over 4-5 million bpd. China’s energy giants — CNPC, CNOC, Sinopec — can rapidly expand Iran’s oil and gas production from existing and new fields. Iran will not need other markets, such as India which has halted oil imports from Iran in compliance with US sanctions.

China’s agreement to massively finance Iran’s development is an extension of its Belt and Road Initiative.

A considerable part of Iran’s gas could be exported via the existing Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline and new oil pipelines can be constructed on the same route. This will significantly diminish the threat of a US/Western maritime energy blockade against China or Iran. Further, China’s reliance on US-friendly energy suppliers in the Gulf (Saudi Arabia, UAE) and East Asia (Indonesia, Brunei) will be dramatically reduced since it could meet all or most of its requirements from Iran and Russia.

Um...China can increase Iran’s output TODAY from 200,000 to over 3million simply by buying it. They don’t even need to invest a nickel. The question is...why is Iran’s exports down to only 200,000 instead of the previous number of over 3Million. Why isn’t China buying up the slack?

This particular investment is geared towards building infra to hook up Iran energy directly to mainland China, circumventing the sea route and that's where CPEC comes into the picture and hence why it is in the interest of Pakistan as well to see this through.
