Towards the Second Light.

In midnight hours of sudden doom
a mist of light unfolds, a musty gloom.

Towards the fainted light I set my path and walk along a dark, mildewy lath.

Panting along, between shadow falls. Within the shadows a voice softly calls.

Who speaks my name in peacefully cries; "Come back to us, oh Darling, please don't die..."

To whom, I wonder, the voice had called. Was it for me that this voice may have bawled?

I stop to search and gaze all around. But the source of this voice could not be found.

Heavily panting, I pick up my paces. So too did the voice, the cry without traces.

Louder and LOUDER the voice cries out. "But...where are you?!" I frighteningly shout!

Overwhelmed by fear, I sprung about. Running towards the light to find a way out.

Then, rush of panic pierces through my vest. Like lightening striking across my chest.

Awake and daze, I grasp a big breath! It was 'til then, I realized, I'd escaped death..!

In an E.R. room I've laid surrounded. The voice that I've heard has at last been found.

If you are wondering why I named this towards the second light is because the first light you see was when you were born.

The Lonesome Solace

My dear sweet cherry blossom where art thou now
in longing of you my mind reminisces of bygone days, bygone hours
have you forgotten about me already, my darling song bird, my sweetest bow
perchance you've found another lover, another partner, to fill your heart with joy and ethereal powers

Have you forgotten the first time we met? My pitiful jest, my timidity, my reticence
Have you forgotten the heart that galloped in sight of you, our times together, our exchanges, despite my un-eloquence

Perhaps the hardest thing for me to accept is the fact that those times together
are removed from bosoms embrace
you remember me not at all
not a glimmer of recollection

Love,
how sweet how immeasurably profound
spirits are dashed in its absence.

The Last Stand

They came as the sun rises from beneath. Like ten million drums beating the heath.

With mighty arms, they swarm and slaughter. The Hordes stained the land with much horror.

By mid-day sun, the Hordes reached the walls. With canon balls they torched it to fall.

Within the walls, they signaled the horns. They gathered in thousands. The Warriors sworn.

To defend their walls until the last blood's drawn; and till their last breath are gone, they'd sworn.

By months end, the stronghold was broken. The mighty Hordes stormed towards the open.

As the Hordes came through, into the walls, the Warriors braced themselves for the last straw.

Tensions grew as each battle horn blew. Their hearts, spirits and bravery grew.

The Warriors swung with all of their mights, as sparks ignite, covering their sights.

Like roaming thunder as blades collides; With lightning flashing from side-to-side.

They fought and slashes into the dense mesh. Then beat and stab their enemies' fleshes.

As morrow came, the battle subsided. Their groan and cries filled the morning sky.

As they bled and swept towards their death, they gasped to the wall with their last breaths.

The coming days cannot go any slower, as my spirit rises with joy

To be reunited with you again

My love for you, dearest Mother, Father, dearest sister and brothers

Cannot be counted or measured

The journey home to be with family’s embrace, and to fill my ears with familiar voices

The hearth of the home fire , I can already feel

The flavor of Mother’s cooking, I can already taste

And the tears that shall roll down my face,

I can already anticipate when I see you again.

.
I know that it burns like poison in the pill
You sing in your sleep, it echoes in the hills
You cant hear a word
You cant hear my broken will

The world through a windshield
Is callous and cheap
I toss and I turn I can't get to sleep
Counting the hours
The days that turn into weeks

I've been wrong, but it's alright
There've been long and lonely nights
I was lost till I found you
I'm turnin' out the light
I'll stay if you want me to

Somehow my time got outta my hands
I just wanna stop, master commands
Telling the truth won't be this way again
A long ways away, but you're never alone
I look at the sky, over our home
I'll be around; a few more miles to go

I've been wrong, but it's alright
There've been long and lonely nights
I was lost till I found you
I'm turnin' out the light
I'll stay if you want me to

You don't have to say it
You don't have to speak
I've been away, worried and weak
Don't say a word

I've been wrong, but it's alright
There've been long and lonely nights
I was lost till I found you
I'm turnin' out the light
I'll stay if you want me to

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on that sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Dulce et Decorum Est

Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs,
And towards our distant rest began to trudge.
Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots,
But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;
Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots
Of gas-shells dropping softly behind.

Gas! GAS! Quick, boys!—An ecstasy of fumbling
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time,
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling
And flound’ring like a man in fire or lime.—
Dim through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.

In all my dreams before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.

If in some smothering dreams, you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil’s sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,—
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,
The old Lie:
Dulce et decorum est
Pro patria mori.

Translation for part in bold Latin: “It is sweet and fitting to die for one’s country.”

I dedicate this to my dog, Pippa. To my fellow colleagues who ever had a dog and suffered the death of said furry friend, I hope this poem also brings you comfort as it did me.

You Did Me a Kindness

When my legs grew too weak to carry me,
And my tired eyes could no longer see,
When it pained me to struggle for each new breath,
When my heart beat weaker, and I drew closer to death,
You did me the kindness of letting me go.
You didn't make me hang on when I was suffering so.
I promise I don't think that you loved me any less,
And I love you all the more for your selflessness.
You freed my spirit from its body so wracked with pain,
And let me run the fields of Heaven, where I'm sure we'll meet again.

I used to have a doberman. He died too young :(

Ronny.

died of a disease after two Human years :(

I'm sorry, bro. Dogs are walking, living beings that show unconditional love to us. Their presence in our lives is an example , manifestation of God's love for their owners. As Ronny lived and loved you , as did my Pippa for me, we were able to enjoy that Love.

Tho they are no longer with us, that Love they shared with us with always remain part in our hearts --- for the rest of our lives.

Sending you positive vibes , buddy !
