The lack of night capability refers to the inability to attack targets precisely at night without the risk of collateral damage.
It does not refer to the ability to operate on Air defense roles at night.. or provide CAS at night.. or otherwise.
The JF-17s along with all other PAF aircraft except the F-7MP series and unmodified mirages are capable of operations at night.
The only capability that was lacked then was pinpoint accurate bombing at night which was required in the terrain..
that capability is being integrated into the JF-17 and will come for the upgraded F-16s.

THe FLIR of the Mi-17 and Fokker is the same?

They dont look the same...on closer inspection they are inverted replicas of eachother. Which begs the question, can a FLIR system revolve a whole 360 on the vertical axis?

One works like a wide angle digital camera while the other works like a binoculars of sorts with a laser designation.

the DB-110 can take pictures the size of a hundred megapixels.. whilst the Sniper manages a resolution of some 1.3MP
